Nice sturdy and moderately powerful handheld grass and hedge trimmer. I really like the trimmer for small edging jobs around raised gardens and patio. They do not do well with thicker branches in hedges/shrubs. Mostly for shaping. But it's great for mobility and power.

I bought this for my wife who didn't want to use my heavy gas powered hedge trimmer, but had a need to prune small bushes in the garden. She didn't like the first one I bought her because the balance was off and the battery kept hitting her wrist. Our neighbor had this Craftsman and she really liked it. It was more expensive than others, but the power, balance, weight, and feel were just right for her.

Got this today, however it was missing the grass share blade. Something hit in the back of the and "said look under the packing cart"' and there it was. Sorry for thinking every thing is one place.

Seems like a longer battery charge than my past Black & Decker. I also appreciate that the battery charger is a small compact cord with a plug style fitting that the battery plugs into taking up less space, and not a big bulky box stand that has to sit on a shelf or bench. I have a whole row of battery charger stands that line up on my work bench and take up way too much space. Its well balanced in my hand so my wrist doesn't get tired. Perfect size for those small trimming jobs like the small arborvitae hedge that flanks my gate, or making quick work of cutting down clumps of spent perennials in my flower bed through out the summer. At the end of summer I use a full sized bar trimmer to cut down my beds for winter but this compact trimmer fits well for getting those maintenance jobs done through out the season. I have always had both compact and full size bar trimmers. I only use the bar attachment with this tool it has always been more useful than the flat trimmer blade but that's just the way I garden. Others may use them both.

The media could not be loaded. Shopped a long time and finally settled on the Craftsman. It is a little heavier, 5 lbs, than the others. But, you are getting metal gears instead of plastic. I cut the following three plants/bushes. I made a video holding camera so I hope you can see the ease and sharpness of this tool. I cut the liriope with the grass attachment. I think it's worth the money.. only drawback is it did not come with covers for the blades.

Strong solid construction, powerful battery, a bit heavy
I bought this in preference to the very light weight trimmers available on Bolo with similar features. Didn't trust the lightweight stuff to last, but I say this without trying any of them. I trust Craftsman products and decided to go with this. After using it to trim my hedge and edge my lawn, I'm happy with my purchase. Seems very well built and easy to use. Easy to change the blades but be sure to remove the battery first for safety. It's about twice the weight of the popular lite stuff but I'm fine with that. If you tire easily or have trouble with slightly heavy tools, this may not be for you.
Light and effective
Love this, I've been using it to clip hedges and bushes around my place, and have no complaints. The battery lasts long enough for what I need, it's not too heavy and it's been working reliably since I bought it about eight months ago.

Good quality product and wouldn't expect less from Black and Decker. Would have given it 5 stars if it was a little bit lighter as I got this for my 82 Mother to use to zip along the yard with. But for myself it works awesome 👍. Good quality and the battery lasts a long time on a charge.Easy to charge and go, also easy to switch blades for different yard jobs. Overall excellent performance and product.
