This one was plug-and-play and has loads of settings. The installation was straightforward. I recommend this unit!It brings my car into the current world of tech. They also have Whatsapp and email support.For reference. I have a 2013 Audi S4. Running Android Auto with a Pixel 8 Pro.

The media could not be loaded. Works perfectly, easy setup, the connectivity is great, turns it on instantly the moment you turn on the car, only downside is that Siri constantly turns on by itself and it doesn’t mute the music when you talk to her. Everything else flawless!

I have a 2014 Audi S4 with the 3G MMI. I was able to follow the directions to get this installed, but man it took me a while. I used YouTube tutorials to assist with the install. I had a few hiccups getting it to start but it works great now. The antenna has no issues so far (mine is located behind the AC control unit). The only annoying thing is it seems to always be on and trying to connect my phone via Bluetooth and carplay. I am unsure if there is a setting to have it turn off with the car.

I was ecstatic as anything for this to arrive, as I bought a stick shift A4 but gave up Carplay for it. This kit is good for even those who become very frustrated with projects with lots of different steps (guilty)Few tips:-you will need the radio key, it is sold on Bolo (you can remove them after by pressing the metal tabs on the side of the radio, before pushing it back in) - i have no use for them so i am probably going to return them-take your time-check that everything works before you put everything back in-the best place for the new module in that very very small space is behind the a/c control panel, which you will have to remove (the book gives no instruction) - there are two holes underneath the a/c panel, use something like a small screwdriver to gently pull it out on both sides-disconnect the radio completely, plug in all of the cables to the module, run your antenna & usb cable, then begin plugging in the module first to the a/c panel, find the placement for the module, then connect the audi radio back, test it with it still out, then if all is good, gently push the entire radio assembly back in. this methodology would’ve saved me lots of time having had to go back and find where to fit the module when everything was already connected-feed the wi-fi antenna & usb cable thru the driver side interior paneling, it looks best & is very easy to access-the clips on the radio will not come out without first pushing out the red tabs-with the carplay system, for iphone specifically, make sure your iPhone is connected to the stereo via wi-fi and that wi-fi is enabled, it will connect bluetooth and then not connect to carplay, which confused me until i realized it must also be connected to wi-fi to workreview of the product:i love how it is integrated into the factory mmi, the airplay feature, and how customizable things are.some people complained about the awkward navigation thru the mmi system, but mazda and other brands used such methods on their carplay systems from the factory. i find no problem with it.some things i do not like: the wifi antenna tape is very very bad, you will need double sided tape to cleanly affix it to the interior panel, the airplay requires a very good wi-fi connection to work well and the antenna is not very strong, so it needs to be very close.

Bought this for my 2014 Audi S4 with 3G MMI. Double checked everything before purchase and it should work. Hooked everything up and everything works EXCEPT ZERO SOUND. It seems that the AUX/AMI cable is defective and not reading so I cannot choose the Aux option on the MMI. I have ordered a different AUX/AMI cable to see if this will allow me to activate the AUX option so that I can actually have sound. If not, I will be returning this product. Other reviews warn about not getting sound and crappy instructions.

CarPlay works great in my 2016 Audi Allroad. Super easy to hook up and operate. No issues at all and a an awesome upgrade to my dash. No more looking at my phone for GPS and music. Love it!!

Bought this for my wife's 12 Audi Q5 because I have a new vehicle w/ CarPlay and we love using it. Install was not too difficult and for the first 3-4 days, this worked flawlessly. We even once joked that this system seemed to work better than my new vehicle w/ factory installed CarPlay. Well after that, the issues started. Constant blank screen, would not connect most of the time, or would connect but would not allow you to select anything. I thought maybe a wire connection had come a loose, but after going in to remove it, all connections were fine. The control unit probably went bad is all I can assume. I did not want to go the trouble of getting another one and installing again. So, my review is that had this continued to work, it would have been a solid 5 Star from me, but since it didn't my review is more negative.

A Must need for any Audi owner

Phenomenal product. Despite the instructions being in broken English and abysmal, if you have the slightest electrical inclination, it’s hard to mess up. Audio quality doesn’t suffer either, and the retention of the OE system with this added CarPlay system is amazing to have. Wireless connection every time without failure, no issues. 10/10 product, very snappy and responsive too. Instructions 5/10, also, please update your installation “guides” you provide via QR Code on YouTube

Shipped very quickly and the CarPlay works as intended. It was a bit tricky with installing and having everything fit, but with some videos I was able to put it all together in about 2 hours.The installation instructions are pretty good but they could be a bit more descriptive. The dashboard removal video seemed short - only shows you how to remove but could have included how to put everything back together.I also figured out that you don’t need to have some cables connected like the USB one if you have a reverse camera from factory. That would have been helpful to know, but again figured that out myself.Some people had talked about other CarPlay systems not working great with the B&O sound system but mine was fine. Phone calls also had no issue. I’m hopeful that all of this remains without issue!

Difficult to use and very difficult to install

Very difficult to install. Package didn’t provide pins to pull the OEM system out and I had to buy them extra from Bolo. Almost impossible to control when you have 2 phones configured (very commonly you will have yours and your wife’s), doesn’t connect to any one when both phones are in the car. Screen mirroring is very painful and no sound whatsoever. Overall very difficult to use.
