I needed some stronger bottom end power in my 2012 Nissan Pathfinder. I have a Kenwood DMX8709s installed with a pair of Kenwood 6x9s in the front, and they sound good, but they distort at higher (or even mid) volume with bass turned up even a little bit. That's where this sub comes in. I wired it under my driver's seat and while it did take a minute of time to adjust my EQs and crossovers to remove the bottom end load from my speakers and onto the sub, it does an amazing job. Sound is crisp and tight even when turned way up past normal listening volume.In terms of the type of audio quality, I would describe this sub as tight and punchy. It doesn't hit the extremwly low frequencies that you might get from a proper ported sub enclusore (20hz or so), but it does much better than full range speakers. It seems to respond down to about 25hz, but it gains quite a but more response above 30hz. If you're listening to hip hop and expect street rattling bass at nearly inaudible low freqiencies, this isn't the sub for you. If you want premium audio system sound *inside* the car that you can feel and that suits virtually every other genre of music very well (seriously, everything from jazz to metal to chill beats sound amazing) and you don't want to sacrifice cargo space, this is where it's at. You will need to spend some time tuning EQs and crossovers, but it can be made to sound awesome. I can't believe it's this small and this cheap. I haven't attached the included brackets because it sits comfortably nestled when wedged between the seat anchors which allows me to slide it out of I want to make adjustments and it doesn't move when the vehicle is in motion.I picked up a boss 8 Guage wiring kit and it worked perfectly for my application. Great work Boss! Super happy with my purchase. Any thoughts I had about potentially returning it before I installed it are entirely gone.

Installed in 2018 ford f150 super crew. Exactly what I was looking for. Better sound with the factory stereo. Works great and easy to install if you’re familiar with stereo equipment. I was looking for a slim powered sub to fit behind my rear seat and the cab. This does that perfectly.

When I bought my 3rd Gen. Tacoma Double Cab, one of the first things I did was replace the factory door speakers and dash tweeters with quality speakers. Sound quality was greatly improved, but it left the bass severely lacking. I'm not as young as I once was, so I wasn't looking for window rattling bass anymore. I wanted something that rounded out the sound and filled in the missing bass. The BASS10 did exactly that. It fills the cab with just the right amount of bass and compliments the other speakers nicely. It sounds good. I'm very happy with the sub, especially considering the price point. Not having to mess with a separate amp was nice.While this is a low profile sub, it still doesn't fit under my seats, so I have it in the rear floorboard, which isn't ideal, but it works for now.

I have high standards but I wouldn't call myself an "audiophile". I'm not looking to rattle the neighbors windows or brag about my sound system at a car show: I just want to feel the kick of the beat when I'm in the mood to crank up the stereo and I want it to sound good. My old car had a pretty killer sound system: mid to upper range Alpine all around, with a 10-in kicker sub in a custom box in the back. I probably spent around $2,000 on all of the hardware - twenty years ago. I tell you this so that you understand I know what decent quality sounds like.Could I have spent three times this amount on a similar, more prestigious brand mini sub? Yes. Would I notice the difference between this sub and that one? Absolutely. Is the price difference worth what I'm looking to get out of it? I don't think so.This sub was easy to install, fits behind the back seats in my pickup truck, and once I got the gain and boost tuned, it does exactly what I want. Combined with some nice door speakers and some sound deadening pads, I think this sub is a great addition to a base sound system.I'm willing to bet that a lot of the complaints here about lack of clarity or bass sounding muddled has way more to do with the fine tuning of the sub/amp, as well as the tuning of the other speakers in the doors then it does with this subwoofer. I'm all around very happy with this purchase.

This little guy packs a big punch. If you’re looking for a subwoofer for your Bronco but don’t want to spend thousands of dollars for a setup, this is your pick. For those that own a Bronco, you know the audio sucks. Make a couple tweaks with Forscan and add some speakers and a sub for less than $500 and you got yourself a system that sounds better than the “upgraded” audio package.

Good, well made and solid but does not add alot of base at all. If your looking for a lot of bass then don't get this. Of your looking for low thump bass to add to music then might be for you. Definitely not 1000 watts like it says it is.

Added this sub to my setup and now it sounds so good. Don't expect it to go as hard as a proper sub but it definitely adds that missing low end bass and makes my car audio system sound decent. Very happy with purchase, great way to get some extra bass without taking up usable space in car.
