I use this twice a day for about two weeks while the skin is healing.Because it's a gel, it's cooling and easy to spread across your inflamed and tender skin post-tattoo appointment. I appreciate that even hours after it's been applied, there's a slight tackiness (not stickiness) on the moisturized area which, to me, means that it hasn't fully absorbed/dried out so the skin has a nice, lightweight, hydrated barrier.The only thing I don't love is the lid piece where the product is dispensed from. I find the product gets stuck there until you press the bottle tightly enough and then it just squirts out suddenly. I purposely unscrew the entire lid piece and just squeeze from the tube (kind of like toothpaste) so that I have better control of how much product I dispense because I don't need much for my tattooed skin to be completely coated.

I absolutely love this stuff. I’ve had a large tattoo that I’ve had done in two different sessions about 8 months apart, both are healing beautifully. I have found this product helps a lot with itchiness and with the peeling process. It keeps everything moist but not overly moisturized while soothing tender, red skin. It gets a little tacky on my hands after applying it but it doesn’t make my tattoo stick to my clothes or feel tacky. It doesn’t leave any hazy residue on the skin. I’ve found less is more. I apply it at least 3 times a day initially after washing the area. I gradually decrease the frequency as everything heals up. I won’t use anything else at this point, I’m a huge fan!

Not my first rodeo. I spend a lot of money for my tattoos and heal them perfectly every time. I always use Dial gold antibacterial, air dry and use a healing cream. This was my first time using this and I highly recommend it. I used it 2x a day for the first week and only had to use it 1x for the next 10 days. It really moisturizes and saturates the skin. It does not leave a sticky residue or anything. I work in a face paced environment with my arms exposed and I would apply it before work and come home and it was still moist and healthy. I never had to reapply during a shift or worry about keeping cream on me. Keep it clean and apply this once or twice a day. Make sure it breathes. And use SPF 50+ or keep it covered and that’s all the tattoo you care.

I have always used other brands of tattoo aftercare product that came in a jar in a solid form (kind of like lip balm). They were always thick and difficult to put on a larger tattoo. I recently purchased this product and I like it so much more! It’s a gel consistency, so it’s easier to spread over a large area. It’s not thick and feels very breathable. There’s no scent and no greasiness, and it keeps my ink moisturized and saturated. I will be using this on all of my tattoos in the future.

Great product, and easy to apply. Feels good on the skin and definitely soothes the tattoo itching and peeling phases. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is because the residue like feel on my hands after use. I have to wash my hands after application.

I got two tattoos at the same time and this has been perfect for healing. It’s water based so it’s exactly what was recommended by my artist. There is no smell, which is great. It’s a clear, non-sticky, non-oily feeling gel and a little goes a long way, which I love! It doesn’t leave your arms feeling sticky or looking like you just lathered on a ton of lotion, which is great. I love this stuff so far and I’m definitely going to check out their other stuff!

This stuff is great! I have a lot of tattoos, and have never found anything that helped prevent the itchiness that comes with healing, until now! I only have to used this twice a day because it lasts. My arm has not been itchy since I started using this, maybe like a 2/10 of itchiness from a 10/10 prior. I wish I had found this sooner! 10/10 would definitely recommend!

Husband had monthly sessions for a year to complete a full back tattoo, we used this afterwards to help heal and reduce itching. Worked beautifully. Easy to apply (like that it's in a tube vs. tub), goes on clear and it's very light weight. Helped to reduce itching more than a lotion but needed to reapply a couple times a day. No real smell to it. I was recommended by a friend, and I would recommend as well.
