The media could not be loaded. For the past five years, I've owned a set of Acoustech PL-200 II subwoofers. During that time, and most recently, the amps on both, at one time or another, have burned out and needed repair. Rather than replacing the amp on my most recent outage, I started looking at other subwoofers and came across these Klipsch SPL-120s, which were a set of two. After reading reviews from others and considering the price, I settled in on these.Once they arrived, I was like a kid with a new toy and could not wait to get them unboxed and hooked up. When I did get them installed, I was not disappointed. The subwoofers have a good look and appear to be built pretty sturdy. Once hooked up, I found that they have a solid sound and nice deep base. They run cooler than my previous subs and seem more stable at higher volumes than my previous set. With taxes, these came to just over $700. In my opinion, they are well worth it.I'm sure there are other, better subwoofers out there, but if you're not trying to break the bank while getting some impressive home theatre sound, these could be for you. I have attached a video to give you some perspective, although, in my opinion, the video does not quite do them justice. I hope this is helpful to those shopping around on a budget.Also, just in case anyone was wondering, my subwoofers are being driven by a Denon AVR-S940H receiver, and are complimented by two Acoustech PL-980, left and right, tower speakers.
