After spending several hundred dollars to repair a fairly new dishwasher, to discover a blockage in the hose caused the solenoid to burn out, my repairman informed me that “pod” type dishwasher detergent does not always dissolve completely and even the high dollar brands leave plastic behind, which in addition to potentially gumming up and breaking your dishwasher (an expensive investment these days), spews plastic into our water systems and eventually ourselves. As a family, we have been fighting to do our part to eliminate plastics in our daily lives. We buy biodegradable products, natural fiber clothing, and consciously choose to pay more to avoid plastic. I never realized “pod” cleaners didn’t dissolve. Expensive lesson.I chose this product for many reasons and even though it comes in plastic, we will reuse the container for years and eventually my husband will recycle it into plastic bricks (an easy and nifty way to recycle plastic, and super to share with kids - they enjoy making building toys and backyard playspaces, easy instructions online).The product itself is clean, gets dishes clean, and leaves no streaks or residue. It pours neatly with few drips, and even a kiddo can accurately fill the dishwasher soap tray. It rinses cleanly and completely without leaving any taste, scent or residue, just a clean sparkle that looks nice on the table and gives you confidence that you’re doing the right things for your family. A++ good buy.

Did a great job! The scent is also fresh & it doesn’t leave residue on your dishes. Also has a twist cap that is easy to use & doesn’t make a mess. Great value for your money! Mine lasted about 2 months!

I switched to liquid as I found the pods just don’t always dissolve well in my washer. This works well and doesn’t leave a powdery mess. The only thing I wish was better (and this goes for all dishwasher soaps) is that my dishes and dishwasher would stop having that faint funky smell. Something changed years ago and it’s just not the same. But this soap is the best liquid I’ve used in a long time.

Works very well!! We do not scrape dishes before loading the dishwasher, and this cleans everything very well even if food is dried on. Glasses do not have any residue and there is no soap taste on glasses or cutlery
