It is durable, and accurate. I like that you can use it for liquid measurements as well. It does hold a decent amount which really allows children to explore. The price I felt was spot on in comparison to others and this product. Overall, this is an easy tool to incorporate into schooling.

This little balance scale was a delightful addition to our classroom. Assembly was a breeze—just take it out of the box and attach the measuring cups to each side. Our toddlers and preschoolers had a blast weighing objects, making the hands-on lesson both fun and educational. Highly recommended!

We love math manipulatives. They're so good for kids to "get" math concepts through tactile expu. I just wish this scale was made of thicker plastic so that kids could handle and use it without fear of breaking it.

Great for use with Numicon
I use this pretty much every day when I’m tutoring to help explain the notion of balancing equations or missing number problems. It balances well with Numicon, cubes or Cuisenaire rods to demonstrate equivalence and reinforce that equals means balance, not where the answer goes!
