I am a registered dietitian and use these as nutrition "insurance". Toddlers are picky and can get stuck in food ruts. Day to day intake varies a ton. These provide adequate calories and protein to replace a meal. We don't use them every day but they are great for travel when we can't cook or are eating on the road. The kids love them so there's no problem with getting them to drink them. They are also a great option when the kids are running around (beach day, etc) and don't want to stop to eat but definitely need some nutrition. I personally do not like the taste, but they do- and that's what matters. Price is a little steep but for sporadic use, it's not so bad.

This product was only liked by 2 out of 3 kids not to surprising one is very picky. Can't blame her either I tried a sip and taste very water down with a bitter after taste in my opinion however my 8 year old loves it says it taste just like chocolate milk and smooth. I would buy it more just for him because it is worth the money and easy for him to just grab and go or for lunches. It is also liked by the 1 year old (only gave a tiny bit at a time) however it must be to much for his little body at the moment let's just say I would have a full very dirty pamper to clean through out the day.

Honestly , I get this for my sanity. I have a 3-year-old son that has to be dairy-free. And a lot of the shakes are either insanely expensive or are never available in store. These are super awesome. I do about 3/4 shake and 1/4 almond milk in a cup for him. That seems to fill him up a little bit more than just the straight shake for some reason. But he loves it and asks for it almost everyday. I only give it to him. Supplementally, but I know for a fact that he'll drink it whenever I do need to give it to him.
