This actually came with the inner piece which I wasnt expecting. It included both screw sizes and the little nut.This is a great replacement but I still question the idea of such an important piece being made of plastic instead of metal.

Easy, 5 min job once you get it figured out. There are no instructions, and the bolt doesn't fit without two quick drillings (see instructions below)You'll need a small (tiny) hex set, cordless drill, and a couple drill bits.1) Remove the old ring2) Test nut and screw fit (make sure they go together)3) Install nut into holder (see old ring for reference)4) Use 9/16th bit to lightly drill out hold next to nut5) Use 1/8th drill bit to drill out other hole on ring (i.e. 1st hole bolt goes into when installing bolt)6) Gently, GENTLY slide ring onto stem. Go slow and you should be fine, don't expand the new ring any more than it needs to be expanded7) Tighten, but don't over tighten boltGoing smaller on hole 1, bigger on hole 2, meant it was easier to align everything when I was sticking the bolt in and trying to get it connected to the nut.

After I ordered this, I discovered that the better-quality OE part is actually less expensive. This is a poor-quality copy. The screw doesn't fit through either of the two holes without drilling them out and the nut just spins making it impossible to properly tighten the screw. I want a refund!

Used this item to successfully replace my broken stock Segway Ninebot Max guard ring.Two points to note: there is a metal nut that needs to be slid into place on the lock piece before you install it on the collar guard so the screw has something to grab onto.Second point is that the screw holes on the lock piece are not big enough to accommodate the small screw used to keep it in place. Luckily, it's just plastic and you can ream out bigger openings progressively using small hex wrenches. Once I reamed larger screw holes, everything assembled properly.

Fits perfect without modification

Fits snug and after a long ride it remained locked in place, unlike the original clip which would come out within a few minutes of riding. All parts and screws fit into their respective places without issue.I suspect this clip is different to the one which other reviewers who had fitment issues received, as this one was loads better than the one it came installed with. I especially appreciated the open side design which allowed me to fit this without having to completely dissemble the stem joint mechanism - I had more trouble getting the old one off than I did installing this one (eventually I cut the old one out after I confirmed the new one was going to fit.)If your original stem clip is loose, do yourself a favour and upgrade to this one! It is a huge upgrade over the Ninebot OEM one.
