One disc of sound effect-infiltrated easy listening plus a fine selection of darker, more intense sounds veering towards the weird and wonderful world of Nexotica. Remastered from the original sound sources with sleevenotes by MOJO magazine's Dave Henderson.

If you want easy access to your music, when ripping, you have to manually change, (edit) the track titles and composers if you feel so inclined.Otherwise unless you can read Japanese, that's apparently where these were pressed or at least they made one pressing and inserted all the CD's into each language package regardless of whether or not the customer can read Japanese.The music is awesome, but the hassle of having to manually enter the track titles is worth a star loss alone.
Not what I was expecting

A bit of a let down
Track one. OK, it's a bit lame but it's gonna improve soon. Track two. Same verdict. After a while the reality dawns on you. It's not gonna get gnashy. The ever present reality that this music is supposed to reflect Lux and ivy's taste looms large. The Cramps legacy is massive but I'm not sure this compilation does much to add to it. If you want a hit of tiki exotica buy the dvd of "Flame of the islands" a 1956 film starring Yvonne de Carlo. Alternatively if you you want an easy listening comp with a hint of quirkiness then this will do fine.
