Worked great for removing an old Varathane Spar finish. I follow the directions, and put it on about 1/8 of an inch thick. I let it sit for a minimum of 24 hours and then scraped off the old finish with a stiff painters putty knife.If you wait too long to remove, just reapply and wait another 24 hours and come back and scrape it off. I found a paint brush, worked the best for applying an even coat of the remover on the furniture.I attached two photos. One with the old finish and the second photo shows the chair after I sanded it out. It took me about 15 hours to get to this point.The third photo is a picture of what it looks like after I applied one coat of light walnut danish oil.Absolutely love this product and appreciate the fact that it did not have a nasty odor to it. I am also very impressed. It’s an earth, friendly product.If you are an amateur like myself, you will feel real proud to restore an old piece of furniture and keep it out of the landfill.

Works excellent and not as offensive as other varieties available. Coupled with the paper removes multiple layers of paint. Worked great on bannisters.

So much for smart and easy. Maybe it works on latex, but on acrylic enamel, it sucks. Don't use it on anything metal or fiberglass. Doesn't do it.

This does work on Thermatru doors you have to leave it sit on for at least a good hour or more and a wire brush to help scrape it off the fiberglass door. Pricey, but it does work.

I'm new to DIY projects and found this gel easy to use in removing stain from some older pieces of oak furniture. Instead of the paper that they recommend using to keep the gel wet, I used plastic wrap. After the gel sat, I used a scraper to remove the gel and any residual stain. The product's scent is not overpowering and clean-up was easy with water.I took off one star as it is a bit hard to get most of the gel out of the bottle toward the end.Also, I do not recommend using a paint roller to apply (referenced in the instructions on the bottle) as it seemed as if a lot of product absorbed into the roller and was wasted. A Paint brush seemed to work best for me.

I planned on using this for a different purpose. However I decided to try it out on part of the floor that had paint on it. It worked slightly after about 2 hours and had to put it on really thick. If you are doing large items you better be prepared to use alot.

Amazing! In less than 90 minutes went through almost 4 coats of lead based paint from 1920s windows and trim. Covered with plastic wrap to keep from drying.Outperformed CitriStrip without question. Happy to buy a larger amount to keep the train rolling.

This stuff worked great! I had some old metal parts that had been ignored and painted over for decades that I wanted stripped. Probably some old lead paint in the lower layers as well. This paint stripper did the job perfectly! It was winter so my garage was cold and I wanted to be able to use it in my basement. This product has no harsh smells while perfectly stopping decades of paint. A couple hours of sitting in a somewhat sealed container and a little scraping/brushing, and I had bare metal parts ready for paint.
