Priced at around $10, I figured it was worth the gamble.What amazed me is that although it is slim, it features an adjustable temperature selection for the tip, which makes this unit a very handy item. Along with the iron, the kit includes 6 different tips, a supply of flux and solder, an iron holder and sponge.Does it work well? Flawlessly for my project.If you need something inexpensive, with all that is needed to complete a few repairs, this is the ticket!

I have two older soldering irons, and they worked okay for a while. I needed one that got hotter, quicker. This one does the job. It heats up well, and I can solder without hoping the heat melts the solder while waiting. This one gets it done, and I appreciate that. It comes with extra tips and some accessories, which are okay but not as necessary to me. I already have all the accessories I need. I just wanted a soldering iron that can be used quickly. It’s nicely packaged and very lightweight.

Received my iron yesterday and so far I'm very pleased. Until now I've always just bought those cheap $5 harbor freight or Walmart soldering irons and while this iron is not really much more expensive than those it's a big step up when you talk about features. Adjustable temperature which seems to work well with a digital display that you can change from Celsius to Fahrenheit. it has a calibration mode so you can calibrate it to make sure that it's accurate. It heats up fast and gets hotter than any of the irons I've had in the past so it melts solder very fast if you set the temperature well. Features I didn't know that it had but and pretty pleased with so far this iron has an auto off feature that turns the iron off after a period of time that the iron is not used, and it knows when you actually pick the iron up it's even got a little indicator on the digital display that looks like a hand that indicates whether it's in use and disappears when the iron is set down and in standby so it allows the iron to slowly cool while you're not using it but then when you pick it up it quickly gets back up to temperature. Then if you set it down and leave it for a certain amount of time it shuts the iron off completely. I've left quite a few soldering irons fortunately they were just those $5 ones plugged in and forgotten about them overnight even so this is a nice feature. On top of that the tips that come with this iron seem to be of a material that doesn't collect oxidation and corrode as fast as those cheap soldering irons with solid rod type iron tips.. so far I'm very happy with it.

Great product for the price. It does heat up fast. Can't speak for the longevity of the tips but the fact it came w replacements, flux and solder was a great deal.

A great bargain for all the accessories that come with the tool itself: solder, Flux, multiple tips, a stand, a sponge to wipe your tip, etc. And the gun has adjustable heat and is SO EASY TO USE. I can't say enough good things about this pencil soldering tool.
