I bought this to go in my office more as just a fun little decoration piece. As far as I've tried, the time does seem to be accurate! Sometimes, it's enjoyable to tilt it and actually use it. Other times, it's nice to just have it there to seal the deal on a look I was going for. I really like it, and think it's great.The whole construction is slightly twisted, not enough to notice at a distance, but up close holding it, you'll notice the top and bottom aren't entirely symmetrical. It doesn't have any effect on the product itself, just a minor flaw I noticed. It doesn't bother me, but it might bother others.

I really like this, there is something that is therapeutic in turning this over, I started of with a small.one and moved up to this one, would love to find a 24 hour.Note this one that I have is not exactly 1 hour yes I timmed it it came in at 58 minutes.Doesn't make me like it less, also in cold humidity the sand can stick, a slight tap fixes it.
Bad quality
Whenbi opened the box ot wasn't fixed, and it is not strongly fixed. It kept on falling down after carrying it, finaly broke after a few days. It looks good but it's bad quality, wasting money
Great Hourglass!
I have wanted a hourglass for quite sometime. I wanted one of a certain size, black frame, black sand, and ran for 60 minutes. Not so easy to find but finally, this one! It arrived quickly and was well packaged to survive the journey. Although a couple reviews advised that the entire thing was somewhat warped I do not see that in mine. It runs for a couple mins longer than 60 but that is fine by me as it is a decorative piece and not being used as a timer. It is quite beautiful. Its hard not to get mesmerized by the falling sand and watch it intently. The only issue and it really isn't a problem, is a few small scratches on the glass. You can only see them if your right up close to the hourglass. Even from a couple of feet away you cant see them. I think these are marks made from the Styrofoam its packed in to prevent breakage. I would certainly buy this item again and recommend anyone who wants one to buy one.
