I purchased this Hover-1 i100 as a gift to my 9 year-old granddaughter who wanted a hoverboard for her birthday. Her cousins all had them and she learned to ride a hoverboard using theirs. Her new i100 hoverboard worked perfectly from the beginning and she looked great riding it. Other siblings also rode it and eventually, just before the end of the 90-day warranty period, it would no longer calibrate and ride properly. This is a common problem with all hoverboards, regardless of brand.Tech support at Hover-1 was by email and they responded back to my email within a day. After following all of their instructions, I decommissioned the old hoverboard and a replacement i100 arrived about a week later. It’s been a couple weeks and the replacement hoverboard still works perfectly. When purchasing any hoverboard I would recommend buying the Bolo extended warranty. More importantly, any warranty is only as good as the company that stands behind it. Hover-1 turned out to be very strong in the support department: easy to contact and quick to solve the problem, even if it meant sending a replacement hoverboard. I won’t forget how they supported their product (and me) and will buy from them again.

The good: The design is thoughtful. They look very nice and the optical illusion that makes it look like the lights go on forever in the wheels is really cool! Hover-1's support is responsive and the build quality appears sturdy.The bad: These only appear sturdy. We tried three of these Hover-1 boards and all three broke within two to three weeks of normal indoor use. Our boys are 12, 10, 8, 6, and 4, and all of them are well under the 220 lb weight limit. They rode it around the kitchen (linoleum) and the family room (carpet) for a total of an hour or two each day and while there was some bumping that went on (into chairs and stools) there were no hard impacts. You can read on for more details.So we started our journey by buying a Hover-1 Turbo hoverboard from Walmart during a black Friday sale. When that broke (the battery side of the board worked still but the other side did not function at all) within two weeks of Christmas with just normal indoor use we returned it and tried the Hover-1 H1-100 from Bolo. It received good reviews and also had app support for the diagnostic utility and a Bluetooth speaker which the Turbo did not.The first H1-100 was black and broke within two weeks of receiving it. Same issue as the Turbo from Walmart the diagnostic utility stated Hall Sensor (Other Side) Fault and everything else showed a status of OK. I reached out to Hover-1 support and they responded within 30 min or so with a confirmation number and then a few days later with a similar response to the one below. Bolo did not have any other black ones available so we tried the galaxy H1-100. That also broke within two and a half weeks of use. We reached out to Hover-1 support again and again received a confirmation within 30 min and the following response a few days later. The response was similar both times:"I'm sorry you're having this issue. It does sound like there is a non repairable issue in your item. Bolo will return or exchange it, per their current policy, and that's the fastest way to get riding again! Due to current operating conditions, we are unable to process warranty exchanges at this time, but Bolo can assist.Thank you for understanding. Please stay safe and be well during this challenging time.Hover-1 Team "The diagnostic utility this time around had a fault on the Phase Circuit of the Motor and everything else showed OK.So in Summary Hover-1 makes really good-looking devices and while I really wanted them to work it doesn't change the fact that we purchased three Hover-1 boards that had non-repairable issues within 2-3 weeks of normal use. We're going to try another brand. We ended up getting: https://www.Bolo.com/Swagtron-SWAGBOARD-XL-Bluetooth-Hoverboard/dp/B08PW5JMD4 and it is a night and day difference. 6 months later it is still going strong and it also has the cool infinity wheels.

We bought this as Christmas gifts for our two kids, but at 6’1” and 225lbs I’ve had as much fun in this as they have. It’s VERY sturdily build and you can feel that when you pick it up. Don’t know what it weighs, but it’s noticeably heavier and more solid than some others I’ve been around.Our favorite features are the Bluetooth function that allows you to stream music while you ride, and it’s self balancing feature is first rate. I’m a clumsy kinda guy, but it’s very forgiving and I was comfortably riding around like a teenager in just a matter of minutes, having never ridden one myself before.It’s got really cool lights that are great for the kids late evening rights outside.Really only possible downside is my kids are really hard on things and this one seems to get scuffed and scraped fairly easily. Having said that, functionally it’s withstood them banging into things and even dropping it once or twice, so the scrapes it’s gotten since nearly day one are just cosmetic.The app (Apple) to control certain settings can be a bit glitchy, but it doesn’t affect functionality in any way - just for stuff like changing the lighting color schemes etc, it’s not as seamless as maybe it could be. GREAT value for the price we paid!

Bought this item for granddaughter. After she rode it a couple of times found out that her prepaid phone is not compatible with the bluetooth on this device. My daughter tried a number of ways it get the phone to connect to the board, but no luck. Otherwise the machine is just what my granddaughter wanted for Christmas. Great to ride a night because of all the lights on the hoverboard.
