I installed this Edge monitor on my 2007 Silverado 2500hd classic with the duramax diesel, and it is excellent! Following the directions, I updated it by bringing it inside and powering it with USB, and connecting to my wifi. The update took about 15 minutes. Afterwards, connecting it to the truck was super easy (it actually took more time orienting the suction cup mount to a satisfactory position).The display can be changed to your liking to show the a set of common values (rpm, speed, coolant temp), or even custom PIDs you want to see (rail pressure, trans temp, fuel level, etc). The display is responsive and clear, easy to read even in bright sunlight. It also goes to sleep when you turn the truck off and wakes by itself when cranking to save your battery!The only issue i've ever had was the screen went to sleep by itself once during a long drive as if the OBD port has stopped delivering power, but just touching the screen woke it again. I suspect the issue is with my truck and not the edge unit.

This is a great monitor. It took me a while to choose between this and the tuner version. I later learned that with this monitor you can choose to upgrade it to a tuner on the Edge website. You just buy and download the software update and download the tunes to it! That would have saved me a couple weeks of flip flopping on my decision. I have noticed it does freeze up on me occasionally but not very often at all. I would say only two times at the most in the 6 months I have owned it. The layout looks really good and gives me all the info I need at a glance. I have compared the readings with my scan tool and everything seems to be reporting accurately. It is very intuitive and easy to use. It is a bit expensive but the quality is worth the price for me! Highly recommend!

I never write a report but this product is awesome. Plug and play. My speedometer quit working and a gauge cluster was 400. This thing has a Speedo. Gives you error codes different gauge set-up worth the money
5.0 out of 5 stars A MUST HAVE for Diesel Duramax DEF Exhaust system.
If you want to clear your codes ESPECIALLY if you have a Urea/DEF requirement eventually you’ll have issues. Getting information prior to a major problem the insight edge CTS3 will save you tons of money & headaches. Before we purchased this unit we had a hard code; in limp mode & miles from anywhere to get the code cleared or find out the issue. After sitting at the dealership almost 4 hours & $500:00 charge we left not knowing the problem code. They took 4 hours to clear the code & the charge was for their time.NEVER AGAIN with this unit. We figured it out ourselves & problem was solved. Stuck DEF pump. After repairing & cleared code we decided to replaced heater, wire harness. My 2013 3500 GMC Duramax is back running like a champ. Federal Government EPA requirements SUCK!!!

Maybe i just got an absolute piece of junk for a unit but after a month the top left part of the screen keeps thinking im clicking it and loading the gauge editor. No matter how much ive cleaned off the screen. Then when i try to do other stuff like load advanced pids the unit times out and the "continue" button doesn't work and the screen freezes. And of course its too late to return it now that it has a broken piece from it warping in the window

Diesel gauges are vital for proper maintenance and care and this Edge give you tons of good data. If you buy a diesel you should also plan on buying one of these! They make vehicle specific mounts but the window mount that comes with this is super sturdy. If you can think of a gauge reading you need or want displayed this thing has it. Can also do some performance testing and code reading/clearing. Great unit and great price.

Awesome screen. Many different views. Easy to install.
Issues with freezing up.
Just got a chance to install this cts3 and if freezes up vary often going though the settings ! Other then that works like it should not vary happy
