Last annual physical came back with elevated cholesterol levels (curse you pandemic, curse you getting old!) My doctor is a firm believer in wholeistic health, so diet, exercise, and instead of statins, Red Rice Yeast twice a day.In the world of "nutraseudicals" the cost per dose is reasonable. The capsules are easy to swallow. There is no appreciable flavor.I'm looking forward to my next blood test and expecting improved results.

I started to take Red Yeast Rice because my doctor (an integrative health doctor) recommended it for lowering my cholesterol levels (I did not want to take regular cholesterol medicines). She also recommended this brand because it contains CoQ10. After 3 or 4 months using them in combination with Omega 3 fish oil, I retested my cholesterol levels and they had gone down 50 points! I must say that I also exercised on a regular basis (3 mile walk 5 times a week) and tried to watch my diet.If you are the type of person who prefers to try the natural stuff before going to the traditional drug industry (like me) Salary Red Yeast Rice is worth trying. I just gave it 4 stars because it is a little bit too pricey for me, but I am still willing to spend my money on natural products....

First I want to say that I'm not a doctor. I purchased this because my brother and I were trying to find something natural to take to help lower our cholesterol. We didn't experience any side effects.
