I don't need a wide temperature range like this provides, but I guess it's there if I ever do need it. The stand is a little flimsy but it does the job (and it's compact). All the other components are about what you'd expect.I've now used this to complete two electronic kit builds and it's functioned perfectly. Plug it into the wall socket and it's ready to go in under five minutes. Stores back into the box fairly well. Extra tips give additional versatility. I'm a novice, and it seemed to have enough power flow to heat and solder components one right after the other, for as long as I needed.Considering the cost, I'd rate this one as excellent value.

I have used this a few times and this kit comes with almost everything that the average person needs. I ended up buying a wick braid and flux as well. For anyone looking to buy a solder kit, I recommend buying a kit that comes with it all. The value is great, the heat level is easy to control which is great to differentiate between the smaller and larger solder points, and overall it's so easy to use. Highly recommend this.

Got this item when it was discounted 50%. So I can’t really complain bout much no matter what lol. I can’t even buy just solder itself alone for this price, so I figured might as well get a new soldering iron AND solder(which was what I was originally looking for when I found this) and figured Couldnt go wrong at this price!Nice quality solder. Never knew much of a difference in solder really, til I got some Baaaaad solder before and just wouldn’t melt like it should n it was a nightmare. But this solder flowed very nicely.The soldering iron itself, for the price, ehhhh. It is what it is. NO MATTER WHAT I DO, I have to tighten the ring in the center that holds the tip on tighly EVERY SINGLE TIME I use it. And sometimes stull once again during usage. Not sure why. Just a pain in the butt still.But for what I paid for i dont wanna complain about it. I feel I def got my moneys worth and then some!The soldering iron is what it is, nothing special. A nice extra one to have around though. Heats up nicely but I noticed the handle gets VERY HOt and kinda hard to hold it sometimes if I turn it up close to the max. So I try not to.Overall, Im happy with my purchase. For a few bucks how can ya go wrong! I only originally needed some solder, which this whole kit was cheaper than the very cheaper solder I could find lol. So dumb not to buy this i had felt! I wouldn’t necessarily search out this kit to buy again, but if it wer the same price I bought i for or close to, I’d probably buy again if I just needed a cheap, nothing special type of soldering iron. Just don’t go expecting top notch quality for this price lol.I’d recommend this item to anyone curious, and I’d prolly buy again for the right price if need be. I purchased a couple of these and happy with them. I use them in teaching Scouts electronics merit badge. It may not be your best S iron you have but it heats fast and does the job well with a fine enough tip to solider some projects together. And if you have a nice $200 iron with adjustable temp and changeable tips - good but do you have one that you can do some dirty work that you do not want to mess up your tip of your good iron?

If you are wondering whether or not a soldering iron this inexpensive can be any good, I can testify that this iron certainly can be excellent. The iron has an adjustable temperature and on/off switch. It is exactly as described and in this instance came with solder, flux, tips, and a stand. I just completed an important repair project and it was comfortable and easy to use.

For what u get for the price is crazy u get a soldering iron flux some solder couple tips and a stand for only 12$ the solder gets very hot and works well definitely good for beginners not wanting to spend a bunch of money on a expensive set I bought this one to replace my Xbox controller joysticks and it definitely did the job

It's a good starter kit but don't rely on it heavily it works really well and it heats up really fast but don't expect anything high quality out of this it will fix video games like game cartridges and save batteries if you have to solder them back into the games but don't rely on heavily because it's not made very well but for the price you can't beat it

Es tal como se observa en las fotografías del vendedor, lo he probado un par de veces y me ha gustado mucho, el control de temperatura funciona perfecto, claro, este es para un uso "doméstico" y es un excelente kit para principiantes, pero me gustó mucho debido a la relación calidad-precio. No le pide nada a otros más caros, cabe resaltar que para el multimetro es necesario una batería de 9 V la cual no incluye.
