Getting paper towels off of a roll with one hand has been impossible until now. This towel holder is perfect for grabbing one or two sheets with only one hand. No more pulling off five feet of toweling (and then having to re-roll it!) in an attempt to grab a quick sheet or two. This is a solid paper towel holder that doesn't tip and holds larger rolls of paper. The rolling mechanism allows for the user to pull of the desired number of sheets and with a slight downward motion, tear off the desired number of sheets with only one hand. I saw a wall mounted version at my daughter's home and had to have one. It's great, and I highly recommend it, especially for busy cooks who often have to grab a quick sheet of paper toweling.

I purchased this paper towel holder because we had one in the office where I work. It worked just like this one was described "One Handed Pull, No Unraveling, Weighted Base to Prevent Tipping". The one I received, at first glance, looks the same and even has the exact same label on the bottom. However, it is not one handed and depending on the surface it is on, it either slides or tips over.On closer inspection it is obvious that the manufacturer has gone cheap. The base is thinner and lighter in weight. 13/16'' or about 21mm and 31.5oz or 893 grams compared to 1.5 " or 38mm and 54.375 oz or 1541.5 grams. Barely over 1/2 of the weight! No wonder it doesn't work as advertised.

The tension to be able to tear off a sheet or multiple sheets is perfect. The weighted base keeps the holder from sliding across the counter even with a good tug to tear off the sheet.

Was a replacement for the same brand, same color, but had the guide to keep towels from unrolling which broke off. Excellent and had for many years. This version without the little side pole works just as well. Would give 5 stars but was hoping the new one would be more of a water spot resistant material. Otherwise excellent and works exactly as described.

For years I have been trying out new paper towel holders and rolling the roll back up after my husband tried to get one off the roll one-handed. We saw this one at a friend’s house and ordered it immediately. It’s the first one we have tried that works as advertised and satisfies my husband. I probably need to order three more for “just in case.” I can see going back to a regular one just won’t be an option.

I have similar paper towel holder that I purchased a few years ago. I bought this one for another room. This one is significantly lighter and therefore, it tips sometimes when getting paper towel. If I hadn't let the return window expire, I would have returned it. It holds the paper towel well, and the towel roll out nicely, but I don't want it to tip over when I'm pulling. I've noticed that a lot of the similar paper towel holders are equally light. On to search for one that ways over 3 lbs. like the one I love.
