not sure if i would actually like this, as there are so many rip offs. the clamp works well, the knife uses a slide motion which cuts clean, real clean in fact.i'm using this for a 3 knife cut on a text booklet i wrote on mapping domestic property which i plan to upload on here as soon as the copy right office finishes their magic.but to the cutter. it is a heavy sucker. make sure you have a place to put it so you don't have to move it often.. it is designed to last for years with replaceable blade, cutting surface that can be turned 4 times (which is industry standard) and does use a true bypass cut so it leave crisp machine quality edges.for small cottage printing, this is a must have, cost, quality and results are amazing.

I have been using a Martin-Yale for years, but after it broke down once again in the middle of a time sensitive project, I decided it was time to buy a spare. Not terribly confident in off brands, but the difference in price for a new Martin-Yale made me decide to try it. I liked the look of this one, and when it arrived I was very pleasantly surprised. It is a heavy built cutter. Everything worked flawlessly out of the box. It is easy to operate, and I've been cutting about 150 sheets per blade swing. I don't know how well it will last, but it has already made itself worth the investment.

UPDATE: used very little over 4 months it cuts through all the way until the last few pieces on the bottom and has bumpy edges that is not cut through cleanly. Still for the price and heavy duty construction, I think this is still good quality. It does shift a little and it doesn't cut very precisely but it's still decent especially if you need to cut stacks of papers in general.***Use this to cut 1/4" - 1/2" thick stack of index paper and it cuts so smoothly. If you tighten the clamp, it will not move and cuts accurately. I cut it using crop marks so I'm not sure if it cuts accurately according to the measurements on their ruler. Also aligning it is a bit off but you get used to how much extra space you need to place it so the knife cuts at the correct spot. It's also better for thicker stack of papers and it really cuts like butter like another person said. It feels a bit awkward cutting a couple sheets at a time, leaving you wondering if you made the cut fully, but it still works. Bought this because it has a blade replacement option. Sadly they got a poor review because someone didn't read instructions to push the safety lever down before cutting. It does work nicely. It is very heavy and quality made. The blade is not under the lever as other cutters have. The lever is only for the handle and the blade is parallel to the surface. It seems more safer that way as well. Worth the price.

I was hesitant to buy this at first, even after having issues with a cheaper paper cutter I bought previously. So far, I haven't been disappointed with this purchase! Although small, cheaper cutters may get the job done, I recommend purchasing this if you’re looking for a precise and straight cut - especially for large stacks of paper. It’s been a huge time saver for me overall.

I’m new to this whole guillotine cutter thing, but I wanted to digitize some books that I could not find electronic versions of (intact book scanners are unfortunately subpar unless you want to pay thousands) so off I went to buy this monster guillotine cutter! Anyway, first couple of books went perfectly using this with my Fujitsu ScanSnap. I bought an extra blade in case it stops being made before I need to sharpen it.

This is a fabulous cutter however a few things to mention. You have to put on the corner bumpers on the bottom which isn’t a big deal and discard the long plastic pieces that already come in the machine. I don’t know why this isn’t done in the packaging. Also the handle for the paper press hold is installed backwards which you have to take off and flip around. I had several screw lost in the bottom of the box which thankful I found them all to put back on the machine. They may have fallen out in delivery. Which probably wouldn’t have happened if they were properly tightened before packaging. Another issue I had was that the entire machine was covered in a light grease of some kind. I had to throughly wipe the whole thing down before using. Almost like a clear oil. Aside from all this the cutter cuts perfectly, the blade was sharp and had no trouble cutting through a pretty large amount of paper cleanly and most importantly straight. This the a workhorse and not for someone who just needs a simple paper cutter for projects. This is specifically designed for large stacks of paper or even book spines. I am super happy with it however some work could be improved on the assembly and shipping of the product. Also it would have been helpful to have instructions and parts listing sent with the machine. I know it a paper cutter and roughly how it works but it would have been nice to see all the listed features. For example I didn’t know the finger guard could be removed until I tried cutting for the first time or that the paper “tray” folded down like it does. Most people would know that already I suppose but this was my first time using something like this and it would have been helpful especially when I had to assembly a lot of screws upon arrival. Over all so far a great cutter. It would also be helpful to has some type of instructions on how to change the blade when that time comes. That I have a feeling will be quite the chore.

We got this cutter just over a year ago and it hasn't worked correctly in months. The clamp that holds down the paper has become misaligned. Half goes down and the other half stays up. Doesn't cut all the way down to the bottom of the stack. Because the clamp doesn't go all the way down, the paper moves and tears it. We have tried fixing it several times. We are well pass the exchange or return time. Be cautious when purchasing.
Fácil de usar y precisa....
Llego cuando dijeron, es precisa y como yo no llevo prisa corto de poco en poco y así es mejor... la verdad, muy satisfecho con la cortadora... me gusta el seguro... ah! y las escalas que trae, son correctas y bien relacionadas con el corte de la cuchilla
A BEAST
An absolute beast of a paper cutter. Use this in our office to cut large amounts of marketing materials at once it worked extremely well. It is quite bulky though and quite large. You need to absolutely respect this cutter or you won't have fingers left over.The safety team at her office had quite a bit to say about it and put warning stickers on it haha.

وصلتني و من الداخل الفلين مكسر و قلت مو مشكله الفلين و لما خرجتها لقيتها مطعوجه من زاوية الرجل حتى القطعه الي تدخل في الرجل ما ترضى تدخل بسبب الاعوجاج الي فيها و قولت مو مشكله مقبوله نوعا ما وكانت كانها شبه مستخدمه القطعه الحمرا لقيتها مقطوعه من الاستخدام ومشيت, لكن كمان لما اجي اقص الورق المساطر مهي موزونه صح ابدا و طبعا يطلع القص مايل و انا احتاجها للقص المستقيم و هيه ابدا ما تؤدي الغرض من دي الناحيه و لكن بشكل عام الجهاز قوي و ثقيل وجامد و القاطع مرررره قوي و ممتاز لكن بس لو يوزنو المساطر بشكل صحيح يكون المنتج جدا رهييييييب و راح اقيمو على 5 نجوم
Muy buena pero difícil de usar al principio
Es muy fácil de usar solo que, al principio la palanca estaba muy dura y eso me hizo pensar que faltaba quitar algún tipo de embalaje pero solo era que tenía que aplicar mayor fuerza. De lo demás todo bien

The cutter is well protected with a specially formed styrofoam, nothing was broken nor loose in the box.It took 15 minutes to set it up and to make test cuts.After that I was able to flawlessly cut manuals with precision and perfect results.One small flaw: one side of the paper guide is precise while the other side is not but it is easy to get around the issue.
