If you aren't used to very sharp knives be very careful with this one. Heck, even if you are used to sharp knives be careful. I gave it 5 stars not because it's the best knife out there but it is the best I have ever seen in this price range. Out of the box it is literally razor sharp, you can actually shave with it but please don't. The cheap little sharpener will never get it this sharp again but it will get it usably sharp for a while. It is lighter than it's more expensive relatives which could be good or bad depending on your preferences. In my opinion it could do without the fake Damascus lines but they don't hurt anything so whatever. I am posting this review on the 3 knives that I currently have, 2 new and one I've had for about 6 months. I bought the 2 new ones because I quit using all my other knives and only use the original Mosfiata. They won't cut it in a professional environment(see what I did there :D )but for a home kitchen you won't find sharper for less money, at least I haven't anyway.

I am pretty satisfied with this carving knife. I needed one for Thanksgiving turkey carving. It made the job quite a breeze. And, it is sharp! I managed to stab myself in the finger with it, and then when a friend was using it to carve another turkey, she ended up cutting herself with it rather easily. It's not like other knives that can be a little more forgiving if you accidentally get it too close to your skin... because it's not dull like those knives! I would definitely recommend!

First off this is hood certified. So you know its a real review from a real one.To start i bought this on a whim because i needed a knife like this. *not this specific one*. I am a culinary major going through my classes & needed it to complete my knife set for school or id lose points. I have big hands, if any of you 6ft brothers know, you know. This thing is comfortable, madddd comfortable & it came super sharp i was able to break down a whole bird with this bad boy. No problem choppin them bones either.Comes neatly packaged & comes with a few goodies. For the price, presentation to use i highly recommend this!

This knife is garbage. My wife bought this knife for de boning in the butcher shop and within two days it lost its edge and will not keep one despite what you try. We re honed it and then sharpened it and still nothing its as dull as the cheap knives we use as backups that have been in there for over a year. Do not waste your money on this.

切れ味はすごく良いと思います鯖の腹の骨も切れました柄が重いので、重心バランスは少し悪い使い慣れるまで気を付けないと手を切りそう一緒に入っていた、シャープナーは使えます１００均の切れない包丁も切れるようになりました指のガードは要らないので、はこの中で寝てます

Das Messer wird in einer schönen Box mit zweistufigem Messerschärfer, Fingerschutz und Scheide geliefert. Es sieht wertig aus und liegt gut in der Hand und ist sehr scharf. Der Griff ist gut verarbeitet und geformt. Auf der Schneide ist ein Damaststahl - Muster aufgedruckt. Die Frage ist, soll es dadurch wertiger erscheinen?Einen Punkt Abzug gibt es für die scharfe Ecke (auf dem Foto markiert). Ich empfinde sie als störend, da ich sie beim zugreifen oft berühre. Ich habe sie abgeschliffen, damit passt es für mich.
