I really like this palette! It came in nice and good packaging, pretty well protected. There's a lot of mixing space, I use it for gouache a lot and I plan on filling the wells with some watercolor soon. I'm really happy with this purchase and might even buy another at some point, in case I accidentally break this one or a pet knocks it over.PROS:It's super sturdy and heavy, it won't slide around when you use it. I've seen reviews for the more expensive palettes like this that don't have an even bottom so it would wobble, but this is completely flat on the bottom.It's white is nice for mixing colors on, it doesn't look pure white but it's still nice for mixing watercolor/gouache accurately.Water puddles and doesn't bead, like it should on porcelain palettes. Makes mixing colors even nicer and even helps with telling how opaque my gouache mixture would be.There's a lot of area for mixing. If you make super large watercolor/gouache paintings, it may not be enough but it should be able to accommodate enough mixing space for even larger painting mixing.The wells can hold a lot of color. Of course I don't think you should fill them completely, but you could definitely fit a full pan or two worth of watercolor in them.CONS:This isn't exactly a con, but I think some people would see it as one. I wouldn't say this is a travel palette, at least not for plein air. I think MEEDEN's smaller palettes would be better options for traveling if you want a porcelain mixing space.It doesn't come with a lid. Now I use a plastic cutting board that's yellow as a cover so hair/dust/etc doesn't fall into the paint when I'm not using this. It's really a must in my opinion to cover it when not in use to cover your open palettes so that mold and other corrupting particles don't get in the paint. If you're curious, I'm using a $1 cutting board that came from a pack from either the grocery store or dollar store. It's a standard size and is slightly larger than the palette. Please use a NEW plastic cutting board and not a used one so good doesn't contaminate the paints either.

A very nice palate. Seems sturdy and functional. Its heavy enough to stay put. Easy to use and to wipe off. I would not use this for a traveling palette due to the weight and fragility. It is ceramic after all. It works well at my painting table and there is plenty of room to mix colors. Note that I am very new to this craft so I may not be the best judge.

The wells that hold the paint are huge, and the two mixing indentations are big enough to mix two or three different tints/shades in each. Or use one for massive amounts of color for a wash and the other for smaller amounts of different colors. If something dries out, add water and keep going. Brushes just glide across the surface when you're blending and it's insanely easy to clean up. The plastic cover keeps dust off your wells and it has a couple of additional mixing panels as well. A truly wonderful palette to have if you're painting with watercolors or gouache at home. I say "at home", but you could take it on the road with you as long as you lay it flat, which may not be always convenient. I tried transporting vertically it in a drawing carrying case and discovered that the wet wells allowed paint to leak from the wells into surrounding wells. If it wasn't for the cover, paint would have gone everywhere in the drawing case. But that's my bad. I didn't think before carrying it that way. A mistake I never made again. It's a wonderful palette and I'll be using it for the rest of my life. I have no problem recommending it.

Nice ceramic palette with adequate sized wells. The lid is a flimsy plastic that doesn’t provide airtight fit. Wouldn’t buy again- too heavy.

I bought myself a birthday gift and it's this studio palette! I have been researching palettes for a while trying to find the right one at the right price. This one is a great size, not too heavy with room for plenty of paint. It has two separate mixing areas, right now I'm using one for warm mixes and one for cool. The mixing areas are smooth for adding water or combining colors for washes, plus they clean easily and do not stain. The wells have a nice slant for pulling small amounts paint forward for mixing. And, it was a really great price compared to others of the same type! Very important in my decision.I have several plastic palettes and I can never get them clean from stains plus, paint usually beads up and puddles, requiring constant mixing, despite my using a light scrubbie to texture the surface to stop the beading. The manufacturer has put a lot of thought into the design of this palette with the artist in mind.

Buyer beware: I expected this product to have a cover and it definitely did not.That said, this is a beautiful pallet. It's heavy and the wells are just deep enough to fit a 15mL tube of watercolor. The mixing areas are huge and perfect for mixing large washes, or multiple washes in the same area.My only regret is not double checking for a cover. I have cats, so dust and cat hair in the pallet is gonna be a problem until I find a solution.

Ich war positiv überrascht als die Mischpalette ankam. Sie war größer als angenommen. Die Farben lassen sich sehr gut verarbeiten und entfernen.
Excellente palette
C'est ma palette de studio préférée pour peindre à l'aquarelle. Sa qualité est irréprochable et on ne peut trouver mieux que la porcelaine pour le mélange des couleurs. Elle est assez lourde pour ne pas bouger, se nettoie bien et ses 17 puits suffisent amplement pour y disposer les couleurs essentielles à la même place,deux par deux (une froide, une chaude).Elle n'a pas de couvercle mais on peut facilement en fabriquer un en plastique ou en contreplaqué.

calidad excepcional como todos los productos MEEDEN, es muy pesada y sólida, de cerámica, también tiene un tamaño grande y se necesita espacio en la mesa para utilizar, se limpia bien (cuidado que no caiga en el lavado porque pesa) y la caja que trae de cartón muy buen diseño, Mi marca de referencia para accesorios artísticos

The perfect studio watercolour palette
This watercolour palette is exactly what I wanted. Plenty of space for mixing, lots of nice deep wells for paints, and sturdy enough not to move about when using. The price was good too.
