I just received my order of two packages, but one was past its "best by" date. I got a refund for that one. The other package I just ground, and the the fresh coffee scent is excellent! Kind of a peanut buttery scent. This is a dark roast, but it is not oily. Perfectly roasted. I have ordered Peet's French Roast multiple times, and will definitely order again! The flavor is strong just how I like it (black).

I have definitely paid more for coffee, but then I decided to try this, and to my surprise, I'm hooked! And the beans are really fresh looking, with a kind of oiliness that is a good kind for coffee beans...and just really tasty! Of course, this is for each its own, but I'm happy to say, I found mine! :)

My favorite standard coffee beans (whole). I've been using them for years, never disappointed. Occasionally I buy a special blend but rarely it was better than Peet's. Always buy fresh, so look at the expiration date and the roasted day.As for value, nothing beats the Costco 2 lb bag.

We love Peets dark roast coffee! Only trouble with buying it on Bolo, one time you'll get a product with an expiration date 6 months in the future, and the very next time you'll get a bag that expires in a week or two...like the last time :-( But...none the less, we love the coffee.

Peet’s Dark Roast Whole Bean Coffee delivers on taste, rich, smooth, and deeply satisfying. The flavor holds up well in a latte and has enough character to still shine through the milk, which I appreciate. I’ve been able to do some decent latte art with it, though nothing spectacular.That said, I wasn’t able to achieve much crema, even after dialing in the grind and pressure. If you're chasing that golden, thick crema for your espresso shots, this might not hit the mark. Still, the taste more than makes up for it, and it’s a solid choice for everyday use.I would buy it again for the flavor alone.
