These are hard to find. We have a fabulous store that we do not get too often enough so we resort to paying a bit more on Bolo and are grateful to be able to find them. Highly recommend yummy.

I’m on the Autoimmune Protocol and wanted to add back lentils since they are so nutritious, full of protein, and versatile. I put these dry lentils in my ninja blender and made a fine flour out of them. Added hot water, salt and garlic and made a batter for savory waffles. I am unable to have bread so these lentil waffles really hit the spot. I started adding a small piece of bacon to the bottom plate of the waffle iron and it really made the waffles great. I’ll be purchasing these lentils again when I run out. I saw no debris or rocks when preparing, very clean. The price point is great as well.

These are nice lentils, but even after soaking, I found them harder to prepare than regular green lentils. They came out a little gummy. BUT that may be because I don't know how to cook them correctly. I followed the directions which called for soaking them for at least an hour, which I did, and then drained them. During cooking, a frothy scum forms, which is normal, but I couldn't get it all out of the dish. So the taste and texture were off. But that may be a result of my inexperience in cooking them. The rfesulting texture was not correct. So, if you're not familiar with this kind of lentil, you might want to try the green ones generally sold in grocery stores.
