Caylee Hammack constantly felt like a "hippie in a hillbilly town" in her tiny hometown of Ellaville, Georgia. "I used to pray every night as a kid, `God, just please make me different. Don't make me like everyone else,'" she remembers. Hammack is indeed refreshingly different, her stardom rapidly rising as she prepares to open a stint of Luke Bryan's tour this summer. ... und authentisch wirkende Texte. "Smalltown Hyprocrite" ist dabei für mich das Highlight.Das erste Mal hörte ich Caylee Hamack auf Ashley McBrydes "Lindeville", wo mich ihre Stimme so überzeugte, dass ich dieses Album wagte. Es hat sich gelohnt!

"Just friends", "Family tree" e "Redhead", in coppia con la regina del country Reba McEntire, sono tra i migliori brani di questa opera prima. Unica nota negativa è il prezzo, troppo alto per un cd contenuto in una semplice sleeve in cartoncino senza nessun libretto.
A wonderful debut album
Such a great debut album. Every song is a winner and so interesting to hear and we feel like we know Caylee from her honest and true lyrics. The album is pretty diverse but consistent at the same time.
