I can't speak to how specialized this is for colored hair, but I can say it's a very good value. The bottle is enormous compared to most Color Care shampoos. Pretty gentle, I can definitely tell a difference when I use this versus say a clarifying shampoo. Find that sometimes I need to rather up twice with this even. I don't typically like highly scented shampoo, this one is not overbearing and pleasant enough.
