With products like this. I don’t actually open to use for a week night dinner. I keep the #10 cans in storage for emergency use. However I have had this in the backpacking pouches and it’s fairly good. In an emergency situation this is a great option all you need is hot water and 10 minutes and you have a hot comforting meal. The quality is great the flavor is good, yeah it’s not homemade but it’s not bad. As for the value. Can you put a price on going hungry? Actually the price I got was cheaper than from mountain house itself.This arrived on time and was packed good to protect it during shipping so there was no damage to the can. I’ll be getting more in the future

MREs have come a looong way! Tried single serve on a camping trip. Now buying by the can. My kid asks for it as a comfort snack. Love you can make a little or a lot. Brought a can to work and put it in our 'communial lunch' pantry. They asked me to please keep this and breakfast skillet in stock 😁
