It had a nice weight without being too heavy for the lightweight wood it was getting screwed into and latches very smoothly, without being closed so securely that it's difficult to open the door at all.The latch itself looks nice, too. The antique copper looks just as it did in the photos, and the slightly worn look of it makes it look right at home on the door, noticeable without being too distracting.No comments about the little anchors that were provided - I didn't use them and don't have opinions to share for it! All nails and anchors were, however, accounted for in the packaging.Note to those who aren't intending to use these for such minor projects as I have;These are NOT heavy duty!They're not exactly flimsy, but if you need a tough latch that'd going to survive more than only a small amount of bang-up, I'd look elsewhere. I wouldn't recommend as long-term closure for, say, a stable door or anything.

I bought one of these to help earthquake-proof a cupboard in my garage. Good-looking, sturdy latch, easy to install in particleboard doors. Only thing was, there was one screw missing in the sealed hardware bag. Should have been four screws, but there were just three. I scrounged another screw from my hardware collection but it doesn’t match the latch’s finish. I strongly suggest you count the screws before opening the bag so that you can exchange the item if you’re shorted.

Good quality and nice to use. I have the shortest to keep my screen door open and the long one to keep my front door open a good amount (at the door jamb) so that the wind doesn't slam the door. Reminds me of the steel hook and eye on the screen door when I was a kid.
