I gave this to my dad for his birthday. He's hard to shop for and loves all things airplanes. This was a great gift, he could not put it down and shared the book with his friends. If you are looking for a cool gift or read for someone who is a pilot or just loves planes- this book was a hit.

The copywrite is 2020, but the book is simply a re-print of a 2016 corny, sophomoric explanation of aerodynamics and aircraft design as known at that time. The "illustrations" are mostly small, old line drawings, and one page of drawings of early aircraft show that Alberto Santos Dumont flew before the Wright Brothers. A total disappointment for me.

Gave this book to friend who builds from scratch and flies model planes. He loved the easy to read reprint, the many illustrations and especially dimensions of plane parts. I also enjoyed the history and illustrations and am not really interested in the subject matter. Highly recommended.
