Update after one year - Hope for the best and expect the worst, as they say. As expected, the latch needs replacing before one year has passed. I have tried adjusting and lubricating but the knob is hard to turn and sticks. Cheap junk.Replacing two wood screen doors on a sun porch and bought two of these handles. They look decent and had better than average reviews. However, the parts are made with very thin, soft metal so I do not expect this knob set will last very long. When assembled the action is very rough. Hopefully it will smooth out with a bit of use and not self destruct.The kit is supposed to fit doors from 7/8 to 1-3/8 thick. My door is 1-1/8 thick and, with the spindle centered, the lever side knob would not thread on far enough. I had to grind off a bit over 1/8 inch to get the lever to thread on properly.

could not find this screen door hardware :in the dark 'oiled bronze ' finish locally everything shiny brass these seem well made, install pretty simple and have the look , finish we wanted. Only issue is that they are not the strongest. adequate for a screen door but will break if forced.

Those hollow, light weight knobs from certain chain home improvement stores that last six months are awful. This is NOT one of those! This is the real deal, like from the 60's. This isn't going to get knocked off by a kid with a skateboard banging in through the door.I needed to replace an original on a 1950's porch. Made the mistake of buying what looked the same at a certain DIY store. It was a hollow piece of junk that lasted six months before it was dented and coming loose from its housing. After much searching, this was the only other option. Nary a one here in town that I could check out first in person, so I took a chance. Was very pleased when this one arrived and it was just like the original. Heavy in my hand, solid, and it's already taken a licking through hurricane season. I do wish local stores would stock good quality like this but too many people these days want the cheapest they can get. This knob set isn't cheap, and it's worth it. Very happy.

It seems like a good quality unit but the latch barely comes out of the sleeve and I would have to modify it to fix it and then wouldn't be able to return it if it didn't work out. With the latch protruding just a bit it would barely catch so pretty much useless.

Finally got my granny door and handle was installed. It twists and turns and spins 360 degrees. Looks nice but doesn’t work.
