I’ve bought several of these bats both as gifts and for myself. They’re very well made and surprisingly hefty. I have some friends that live in Southern California and I bought them a couple of these to keep around the house for simple, easy, California legal home defense! Being from a very pro 2A state myself I have hassle-less access to other means of home defense (the way it should be!) but for those that don’t or would prefer something like this, you can’t go wrong with this product!

Quality product that I have gifted to many a friend. Bat is super dense and hard. Short length makes it easy to use with one hand. Weight gives it energy when you swing it. Whacks baseballs and other objects with power. Keep one under the front seat of each car as a defensive tool.

I definitely like the smooth over the wood texture on their other bats. The banshee feels too short though wish they made 34 and 38” versions. I like the weight too. It could even be a bit heavier. I just like holding it and swinging it lightly. I don’t use it for baseball. The included stickers are also laughably bad. Like someone spent literally 10 seconds picking the most random generic low quality stickers possible. I out some racquet grip tape on and it feels a little better while adding some color.

I hope to never use it, but I feel more secure having it by my door. I also bought a Baseball Bat Hook for easy access. You can hang the bat up or down. It's so heavy for such a small bat! I also happen to live in Brooklyn, so it looks like a decoration. : )

One day, I was talking to my mom and she said she has always wanted a big stick to have next to her in the car.While isn’t big, it is sturdy, and easy to swing.I’m not sure what she imagines it will do for her, but if it bats away someone trying to grab her purse, then good!It came overnight! I sent it as a surprise, and she was tickled to have it!

You can't beat a gun or rifle, but this is my favorite non-firearm tool I have for self defense. It just feels "right" in my hand. It's heavy enough that whatever you swing at will be obliterated. It's definitely fun just to hold, swing at the air with, destroy water melons and a fun talking piece to discuss with your friends that may share your enthusiasm for such things.But that is where it ends because Its heaviness is also con. Cold Steal also makes a slimmer, lighter version of this bat called the Brooklyn Shorty and though not as "fun," or impressive to look at, is much better for actual self defense needs. I'm a relatively strong man, but I still feel the need to choke up just a tad on the grip for both the Brooklyn Slammer and Brooklyn Shorty (they both are one-handed bats), so the added weight of the Brooklyn Slammer adds extra response time, slows down the time it takes to actually swing and truthfully, any semi-athletic assailant would probably see your swing coming before you could actual execute the swing with the Slammer.In conclusion, The slower Brooklyn Slammer is my favorite because of the fun factor, but the Brooklyn Shorty is actually better for practical self defense uses because its quicker in the air and still will break bones.

Stickers look different
I received a baseball bat that lacked any stickers. The company provided four stickers, but they were of poor quality and had an unprofessional design. Although the bat feels sturdy, it feels unbalanced and not worth the high price tag. I expected a balanced bat and premium stickers for the amount that I paid.

Fantastic quality!
Great quality. Super lightweight compared to the crusher I purchased. Went to the batting cage and found that even with the cupped top. It doesn’t really help with vibrations simply due to how lightweight it is. I do still love the bat more than the crusher. But something to consider when purchasing.
