But then again, it’s hard to go wrong when you use real zucchini, cauliflower, broccoli, red and yellow peppers with spiral macaroni in a creamy parmesan cheese sauce. Contains no artificial preservatives, flavors or colors. Just add water and eat in less than ten minutes straight from the pouch. An excellent vegetarian dish! Mountain House meals are freeze-dried to lock in nutrients and flavor which also makes our meals super lightweight. Perfect for on-the-go, camping and backpacking. We take the water out, you simply put it back in. Pouch contains two servings.

Again research helps a lot when buying everything, including freeze dried foods! I never heard of MH til I saw a video on youtube about the guys doing a review on all of their foods. I went to their website, read everything about them, the reviews were outstanding & MH backed their products 100% so I gave it a shot, bought a few different ones, tried them & WOW I couldn't believe it, they tasted exactly like I would've made it myself & now I'm hooked on them! If your camping, rving, backpacking, emergencies or just don't feel like cooking, try these....just follow directions & let it sit for longer than what it says & wrap the pouch in a blanket or towel to keep it hotter. I let mine sit for 30 min so it wouldn't be crunchy, longer the better & yes it's still very hot when you open them!! I ❤️ these, happy w/my purchases, definitely will be buying again!! Highly recommend these to everyone, you won't be disappointed 👍

This was a great meal. The flavors simple and straight forward. I really liked that they didn't try to reinvent the wheel with some sort of fancy twist. My only issue (and, this is a small one) was that the recipe called for a little too much water (1 2/3 cup). The meal was rather soupy. I would try 1 1/3 and let it sit for longer than recommended. You may even want to start lower and add more as needed.I bought one package as a trial run. I'll definitely by more.

I like these for easy meals. I know thats not what they're for but this is my favorite easy lunch or dinner, just add a lil extra cheese and boom. You can find them at bass pro shop too but usually the good flavors are gone.

Have been experimenting with assorted backpacking foods for an upcoming trip. This was one of the better ones, reminiscent of an elevated mac and cheese. I appreciate that it is vegetarian. Most anything tastes good after a long day on the trail, but this actually tasted good at home.
