I can honestly say that this guitar has fewer "flaws" than my 2006 Gibson in terms of finish and attention to detail. Epiphone has come a LONG way with this new line and I'm truly impressed with the features, quality and price. The neck is thin and super fast, the sound is top quality, the finish is flawless, the frets are great, the action is nice and low and the value can't be beat. For a guy who has spent much more and could spend much more on a guitar, this is the guitar that I CHOOSE to play.

Love the style and look. It's relatively light compared to the Gibson original. Fret/neck took some getting used to as it is slightly different from LP model.Update:I've had it several months and must add that you need to make needed setup adjustments to the bridge for it to play properly and to stay tuned.

I bought this for my 10 year old grandson who has been playing for about 2 years currently after a hiatus for a few years. He wanted an upgrade and had earned it. He is thrilled. He loves it! This is a beautiful guitar and was shipped promptly.

I find little playing difference between this and the Gibson SG which is quite a bit more expensive. Thought I would need to change strings, tuning heads , possibly put Seymour Duncans on it and file frets but none of that was necessary!! Only thing I don't like is the top strap attachment. Also, it appears that the screw for the attachment is the only screw holding the neck to the body besides glue.

Beautiful 1961 Inspired by Gibson SG Range
Beautiful guitar, I own both the Gibson and Epiphone versions and there really is not a lot of difference between the two, obviously the Gibson sounds a lot cleaner and the finish is crisper than the Epiphone which is a two-tone cherry red. The Epiphone plays beautifully, passing through both a Marshall and Line 6 amplifier but the main differences between this Epiphone SG and others on the market is the price, a Gibson edition will cost an extra £1,500 and the weight of the guitar, I own several SG's and this is by far the lightest of the instruments. Given that this is part of the Epiphone inspired by Gibson range, the two instruments are almost identical but if you are looking for a standard 1961 SG on a budget, you really cannot find better than this.

La guitarra es muy bonita, pero trastea mucho y en varias zonas del diapasón. Se supone que la deben enviar lista para ser tocada, pero me harán gastar más dinero en mandarla a arreglar.

Très propre, légère, pas de neck dive, pas beaucoup d’écart entre le manche et les cordes. Testé sur un MG50FX, parfait. Peut être réajuster quelques cordes mais pas de grand chose
