Align the seam of an unpressed hst with the dashed lines and with 2 easy strokes, trim all four sides. The exclusive edge slots allow for trimming dog ears at the same time. There's no need to rotate and realign fabric. Other uses include: squaring-up hourglass blocks; strip piecing hst; strip/tube method of block construction; and fussy cutting
