Absolutely great lens, an awesome addition to my gear bag. As far as kit goes, I care less for the little addons (that I may never use), but it's good to have stuff if needed. I use this lens for both stills and for video recordings. The auto focus on this lens works as well as my Sony lens do. The lens is high quality for a very reasonable price. If you have Sony APSC camera go on U-tube and watch the reviews on this lens. It's a great lens to have in your lens line up, and you will not sorry you picked this one up.

Great lens. I'm a point and shoot guy, not a professional, maybe a beginner hobbyists. I Use this with my Sony A6000 and it's a big upgrade from my 16mm - 50mm kit lens. The build quality of this lens is terrific, definitely made to last. When you have it in your hand you can just feel its worth. There's no oss but it's Super sharp and great in low light and indoor areas using no flash. Back ground blur is nice in my images. Auto focus is great and manually focusing it is smooth, one thing though is that there's just a bit of noise when it is focusing.The extras that come with it, like the bag and accessories ain't anything to write home about but the extra sd card comes in handy. I would highly recommend this lens for your collection. A Good buy.

I absolutely love this lens, I use it as a vlogging lens and I love the results. It takes great pictures too and the autofocus is very well. I would reccomend this lens 100%

If you're planning to use this lens handheld then only use it in good light. In good light it works well and will focus quickly. Once you move into low-light, that's when things turn bad. You absolutely need a tripod or something to lean on even at f1.4 if you want a decent ISO. There's no OIS so you'll need to use a high shutter speed at night otherwise it's VERY easy to cause blur. This lens also struggles to focus at night, you'll either have an out of focus picture or a ghost picture at night. You absolutely need a tripod, and when you do use one, then things are different. The lens is very sharp from corner to corner and the bokeh it produces is beautiful. If this lens had OIS, it would be revolutionary for the price range.
