5.0 out of 5 stars Chicken Coop Test

I purchased this style of trap because I have chickens and recently noticed rat activity, mainly inside the coop. I was using the old fashion traps, but that was a process because I needed to place the traps outside of the coop and in the evenings to protect my hens and also my dogs. I was attracted to this trap because of the design of the "tunnel" but was still concerned my hens may poke their head in...then wham! I also know that rats do like to travel in tunnels and against a wall of some sort, so the design intrigued me. The packaging and instructions were excellent, even directing you where to place the trap. It's extremely easy to put the bait in and set it. I LOVE the clamp because it gives you a place to hold the trap when you need to dispose of the rat. It's very simple to do, just squeeze the clamp and the rat falls into the trash. It feels sturdy and well made. I would not feel comfortable using these traps around toddlers though, it may be possible for them to insert their fingers into the tunnel, as the actual "trap" is located in the middle of the tunnel, and could be reachable with little fingers. I felt the price with reasonable, and at this point with the product I would most like purchase them again, in fact I may be ordering another set for other areas in my yard. By the feel, I expect these rat traps to last for quite a while.
5.0 out of 5 stars I set 5 traps. THIS one is the only one that worked!
I set up 5 separate traps from different brands in my upstairs hallway. THIS is the one that finally killed the mouse after months and months of my daughter not wanting to leave her room because whenever she did she said she saw a mouse running down the hall.I was desperate.I set up glue traps, humane traps, humane kill traps. Name it. This has been going on for at least 5 months.Night 2, I walked past the traps and noticed this one had been activated (shut). I took a peek and didn't see anything until I got my flashlight. It's tiny.I feel bad for killing it, but it has been tormenting us, and no other trap was working. At that point I didn't care if I used glue traps and would have to put it out of its misery myself. I just want mice out of my house. We sealed all cracks, but it was either trapped inside, or has been finding other ways in.I'll dispose of it and reset it again, just in case there are more.I used peanut butter with all traps, including this one.Thank you for finally making a trap that actually works!
5.0 out of 5 stars I don’t even use bait to catch chipmunks
I have a LOT of chipmunks on my property and they destroy rock retaining walls with their tunnels. I have had success with these traps by just putting them along the routes that I’d expect the chipmunks to travel. I don’t bait them ever. The tunnel of the trap just draws them in. I have various other animals that eat carrion around my property, so I just release the dead animal in the woods and reset the trap. Others have mentioned the possibility of the chipmunks learning that the traps are traps - the ones in my yard apparently aren’t that smart. I get another one every two days, and I’m not careful about immediately emptying them. I even use them in the same place repeatedly (where there should be a lingering smell from the prior death) and I have success. Not using bait helps me avoid ant problems and raccoon problemsThe thing that really amazes me is that I don’t clean up the trap at all. I know there must be blood, feces, urine, etc. in the trap and in the area where I leave the trap, but it doesn’t seem to affect the results. They run through the trap anyway. They seem to be drawn to anything that looks like a tunnel.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good design, safe for pets
These traps are just what I wanted, so that I can place them anywhere and not worry that my dogs are going to get hurt (also, open traps have killed birds which I don't want). They provide a quick, humane end for the pest and the bait cup is very easy to remove, clean, re-fill and replace. The one thing I would like to see changed is the durability of the latch that holds the trap open. It's a small plastic latch that breaks off after, say, six months. At that point the trap is useless. I would like to see either a much more robust plastic latch, or a metal latch. Other than that, it's a good product.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good buy & worked great!
One of my neighbors & I both bought these because our neighbors were filthy people & attracting rats. I didn’t want to deal with trying to set spring traps or having to see or touch dead mice & rats. We both use them outside along porches & in the garage. I was concerned about a rat fitting into the tunnel but they work! All you see is a tail sticking out & the trap is triggered. Just carry it to the trash & release it! No having to see them, touch them, smell them or get overly grossed out. They’ve lasted over a year so far, the filthy neighbors were evicted months ago, the property cleaned up & though we haven’t had an issue since shortly after the property was cleaned up, we both still leave the traps out because if you’ve dealt with rats, you know the nightmare they can be even when you’re the one creating the problem & providing the food source. They were a good buy!
5.0 out of 5 stars Very effective if you follow my tips.
We had a major chipmunk infestation. We let them roam free, not caring about their underground activity, until they created a major hole in the driveway, and patio slates started becoming very uneven. These traps work REALLY well. A few tips for a successful and humane elimination:- Don’t touch the traps with your human-scented hands. Wear gloves.- Put the traps out baited but not set for a few days to allow the chipmunks to get used to them.- Bait them with a combination of peanut butter AND a solid peanut jammed into the bait well. (Makes them work to release the bait, causing capture.- Keep your eys on them, or better yet, use a home cam to show you how many you are dealing with, and when it gets triggered. You’ll hear it, but it is essential to remove the triggered trap immediately so it doesn’t teach the other pests that it is dangerous.- Apparently, you can clean out the trap for reuse, but that’s too much for me.
Works well

Does what it should
Exactly as described
Excelente trampa!
Excelentes
