I ordered one of this about a year or so ago, worked great till the flimsy cord decided to sever itself after very gentle handling over time. I'm surprised it lasted that long. I decided to order a new one since it worked and had good sound quality, but the first one was nearly silent even at max volume. No biggie, initiated return, got a replacement. Next one only plays out of right side car speaker and sounds tinny. Frustrating. Initiated another return. Got another one, figuring surely the third time is the charm. Nearly silent again. Return. Fourth one as a replacement is nearly silent AND only plays out of right side. Truly garbage. Not going to try any more, obviously they have no quality control anymore and the one I got a while back was a fluke.

I tried what was available in Autozone with my 1999 Toyota Corolla but it kept spitting the tape out. I did some modification by removing a gear from the device but it made the sound worse. The tape would play and make a scratchy noise and I would have to turn the audio all the way up to hear anything.This Bolo purchase however, blew my expectations out of the water. I can hear my sound recordings crystal clear during my rides. I can blast my mp3s with minimal interference. Forgot my phone didn't have an aux port so it didn't work for my phone but it works great with phones that actually have an aux port.

I tried everything with this, but merely inserting it causes a loud hum that drowns out any music. Even when unconnected to my phone. I bought it a long time ago and didn't test it because I assumed it would work fine. Now that my old cassette deck adapter has worn out and they don't sell that version anymore, I bought this as a backup and it doesn't work. I tried everything to see if I could fix it, or even just determine what the problem was and no matter what, it hums louder than the wind. It's not my car, it's not my phone, it's not the connection, so it is the device itself and no configuration or orientation made it any better. Just a constant loud hum.
