It definitely was disgusting and I would recommend throwing the box out and sanitizing the cord and throwing the pad and the little bag it comes with in the washer right away. It took me a bit to take the cord off but I figured it out you have to hold the pad portion of the plastics height and then pull the cord out and it came out nicely and the instructions say it’s machine washable so I machine washed it and let it soak for a while because the stench was so bad. After I got over the stench and had it soaking had a dry overnight I was able to finally use the heating pad for the first time. It does what it says it does and it has three heat settings and it plugs into a regular outlet no usb stuff. To me I have a lot of pain so the heat for me was not enough, the highest setting I wish was hotter but I’m also a special case. I gave it four stars because of the stench of fish I have no idea why that is needed but another reviewer mentioned it as well and due to the heat not up to my liking. It is nice in size and super fluffy and is a great relaxer type heating pad. If you’re looking for hot heat for gas like I’m using a normal heating pad for probably not this one.Update: I contacted owner and they sent me a replacement and there was zero fish smell. I washed it the same and the pad does get hotter then the last. This second pad works fantastic and now it’s 5 star

The heating pad is good on temperature but I must say I was very disappointed when it arrived. Soon as I opened the box the smell was so bad it was unbelievable. The entire pad and the bag and the box smelled like fish. It was horrible I tried to let it air out but that didn’t work then I just decided to wash it and that work but the bag smell did not remove. I washed the padding twice and just threw the bag out complete with the box. I have never received received something from Bolo with such a horrible odor before. Outside of that the pad works great and the heat gets very hot .****Great Customer Service****I give this product now five stars. Customer service reached out to me via email and sent me another heating pad. I must say what a difference I opened the box and no smell at all just the new smell that most things have naturally. It is soft, comfortable and works well. I am really amazed because the first one was horrible this one really turned me around for sure. Thanks for the good customer service this product works well and I am pleased “awesome”😀

The media could not be loaded. Updated:This has worked greatly for what it’s intended to be for. The heat is good, and size is good. It still gives off that weird odor, so hopefully that goes away with more use...which most do. Other then that, it’s not bad at all.Prior review:By far, I’m glad it came and when it did. The box seems to come as it looked opened at one point. It might not have, but it was closed shut. It just doesn’t show a full closer to give the buyer a relief that it exactly brand new, even though it may be. It seems so, no stains or anything. But it does come with a smell. Probably just because of the product it is, or being new or maybe what it’s made out of. It heats up as directed and supposed to and that’s what really matters. So it works and I love it and it’s big to use for more then one small area.

The heat pad is really great. It's large enough to go across my back and very flexible and soft. The only issue would be that the place where the power cord connects can make it a little difficult to readjust the heat pad exactly the way you want it to be. It's not a huge issue because it is simple enough to work around it, but it is definitely the most annoying part of the heat pad.The temperature control is limited, with there only being a low, medium, and high setting. The heat pad heats up incredibly quick and the heat can get quite high, but after it reaches its peak it definitely dips down in the amount of heat it radiates. It still stays decently hot but sometimes I wish it would stay a little hotter. The temperature is controlled by a single button. This button is very large and pretty sensitive and each press cycles from off to high. Due to this, it's extremely easy to accidentally turn it on by just tossing it to the side, sitting on it, or just throwing a pillow over it, so it is important to unplug it after use or to put it somewhere where it won't accidentally be turned on.As expected from a decent heat pad, it does work to relieve some sores such as back pains from poor posture. It is a really good heat pad for the price. Highly recommend it.

It is very comfortable, luxurious even, and easy to use. Heat distribution remains excellent. The customer service is super-responsive. We had the heating pad for 7 months when it decided to stop working. I wrote that in my comment and was surprised when another heating pad was sent to me as a replacement. Later the customer service person reached out to check that I received the heating pad, then reached out periodically to suggest (not insist!) that I update my review. It’s taken me awhile to update the review—I wanted to wait and see that it wasn’t a fluke. The heating pad is the most comfortable we’ve had and the customer service is first rate too.old review:Purchased in March, stopped working in October. When it worked, it was great. Heat distribution, pain relief were great. Now, nothing. So disappointed!

This has been awesome and I use it almost every night it turns off after about 2 hours so it’s night I don’t have to remember to turn it off. It’s light weight and easy to roll up and take places. Long cord!
