I would recommend this oil for cooking. You could certainly use it in more ways like salad dressings, marinades or dips. For a good cooking olive oil, which I primarily use instead of butter or other fats, this is a good healthy alternative and a very good value compared to more expensive Extra Virgin Olive oils for cooking.As a general rule: For finishing dishes or pasta where it is the main sauce, I recommend higher quality olive oils simply for flavor nuances. For cooking however, this oil is an excellent choice.

The price of olive oil has skyrocketed over the past 2 years, even at Whole Foods (I think I used to pay 19.99 for 3L), but this is definitely the best value out there. It has a good flavor, and I trust Whole Foods to sell me real olive oil and not some counterfeit garbage. Normally I buy the 3L size, but recently the 2L size was on sale, so that worked out cheaper. I decant the oil into an empty 1L bottle for everyday use.

This oil is a fair value and has a nice, peppery flavor. However— the spout is terrible. It does the gurgling/burping thing so it pours in spurts and it’s hard to control the flow, especially if you’re trying to fill an olive oil bottle or cruet. Plus when you finish pouring some oil always gets on the top of the can.

Pleasantly surprised with this olive oil! I've used it on bread/pizza crusts, salads, light cooking, with pastas - it holds up well! I can tell it's a blend in that it tastes great and is flexible for use, but for instance with salads and pastas I would prefer a true 100% EVOO.
