Gotta say, I don't leave many reviews for cables. In fact, I don't think I ever have.I needed a long USB-C (both ends) cable that could a) provide 4K video from my Macbook Pro to my Dell monitor (which has a USB-C input along with Displayport and HDMI) and b) allow the Dell - because it has USB-C functionality - to power my Macbook Pro via said cable.I figured the search would take two minutes. It took two hours and informed me that not only are there very few cables that do this (well, at least, based on many reviews), but that length is a huge hangup. 2 meters - 6.6 feet, like this CBUS cable - is the absolute longest USB-C-to-USB-C cable I have found on the entire internet that can do both things mentioned (this cable can also transfer data at USB 2.0 speeds - ~480 Mbps - though that wasn't a factor for me). I don't know if it's scientifically impossible to create a cable with these attributes that is a single inch longer than 2 meters, or prohibitively expensive to do so, but I found that pretty surprising.With all of these limitations, and given the cable's very affordable price, I doubted it would do all that. It does it all, does it well (not a single issue yet), and it has a very durable build and looks good to boot. I've read some folks mad because it has the company name on the ends of the cable (doesn't seem that odd to me). Well, it's USB-C - turn it around if you don't want that shown (the opposite side is blank).It's been exactly what I needed and by allowing my monitor to power my MBP (pretty impressive what these cables can do now), it saved me a valuable port out of my 4 Thunderbolt 3 ports - and I needed exactly one more. Primarily because none of the "USB-C Hubs" sold all over appear to be that at all - I haven't seen one yet with more than one USB-C port, which is downright bizarre, but not another technology limitation I felt like spending hours researching.In the end, 6.6 feet turned out to be just long enough to reach the monitor with no room to spare - whew.I don't usually review cables, but when I do, I give them 6 out of 5 stars... great work, CBUS.

Finally a long USB-C cable that works perfectly with my Lenovo docking station. I don't usually write reviews or recommend products on Bolo, but if you're looking for a tough, high quality USB C that "just works", this is it!

I'm currently using a different cable (which I paid around $30 for) to connect my MacBook Pro to a dock, and bought this one to keep on hand as a spare. Though I obviously can't speak for the long-term durability of this cable, it seems to be well-made, and it performs as expected in terms of power and data.If I had bought this one first, I wouldn't have bought the $30 one, I would have just bought another one of these.Also, the thickness of the cable is not that bad... based on what's been written about it, I expected something roughly akin to the steel cables that hold up suspension bridges, but this was not the case. It's about as stiff as my other USB-C cable. Now, it IS significantly stiffer than the regular cables that can't handle as much charging current and/or only support USB2 data speed, but my assumption is that this heavier gauge is needed for these features.I'm not thrilled with the prominent white "CBUS" branding on the plugs, but as others have mentioned, it's no big deal to simply flip it around so this is on the bottom.On last observation. I used this cable to directly connect two MacBook Pros to move my data from one to the other using Migration Assistant. During that process, the Migration Assistant showed the connection as being "Thunderbolt", so I guess that means this cable can also be used as a Thunderbolt cable? Maybe that's a "well, yeah, of course it can" kind of thing, as I'm new to these kinds of cables... I know TB3 shares the same type of connector as USB-C, but that doesn't automatically mean a cable with that connector works for TB3. This one apparently does though, even though it's not mentioned in the description.

First, let me be clear - this cable 100% delivers what it says. It is a full speed, full power USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 cable. It can deliver 100W of power and 10Gbps data all day and seems very durable, well constructed. It’s also plug and play easy with any USB-C devices (it’s USB-C female on both ends). So on the functionality points, it delivers the goods and then some. It also looks nice, fitting in with the black motif of many cables/chargers (everything is black or white, generally, in this space) and comes with an integrated Velcro wrap to keep it neatly bound when not in use.So why is this review only 4 stars and not 5 then? Because the cable is - seemingly because it’s so well-built, likely overly so - very heavy for a 6ft cable and VERY stiff to the point of being somewhat hard to route in the way you want. For a cable that you’ll route behind a desk or use in a permanent installation, that’s not a problem and I would say go forth and purchase. But if you want it for use on the go - which is what I was going for - this is definitely something to consider as you may spend a bit of extra time dealing with unwinding it and winding it back up each time you use it due to the stiffness. So I’ll knock off one star there. Otherwise, a great cable for a great price!

Must buy for Note 10 plus owners!

Got this cable for my Note 10+. The cord supplied by Samsung is very short so I ordered this one. This cord also supplies enough power for the fast charging so it is just as fast as the retail Samsung cable but way longer. The rope coating on the cable is great and makes the cable feel sturdy. Have had it for a week so far, hope to have it for a long time!

Braided cable, works with usb -c hdmi video for switch and quick charge. Goof quality and work as advertised. Very solid and rigid

This cable has great value, before purchasing I was checking the reviews and I see many people are complaining that it doesn't charge your laptop while playing 4k video on external monitor. I wasn't sure at that moment but still decided to give it a try.Right after I received the cables, I tried it out and it's actually working.They probably already improved on it, I will keep monitoring a bit so far it's a great product for me

Beware of Compatibility

Well made cable but it will not charge my HP Spectre 360 from a Linear Power Supply. Works fine for data transmission and peripherals. I'm not really holding the cable to task here as other cables seem to fail in this application. It's likely an HP implementation issue.
