I’ve been a longtime user of Lab Series products, and this Cooling Shaving Cream with Menthol & Shea Butter continues to deliver exactly what I expect: excellence. The smooth, thick texture makes it easy to apply, and it provides a comfortable shave with confidence—whether on the beard, legs, or more sensitive areas. Its richness penetrates even the toughest, curliest follicles, ensuring a close, safe, and irritation-free shave.What sets this formula apart is the cooling refresh the moment it touches the skin. Being very picky with what I put on my face and how it must feel.. this is an awesome find!!! You really don’t need a lot of it so even if you think it’s expensive, for how much of it you get and how amazing this feels on your face ( provides the perfect amount of slickness and hydration for your face during and after the shave with a slight chill feeling ), this really is worth the price imo. I’ve struggled to find a good combination for a long time with safety razor having tried soaps and oils and this absolutely is the right shaving gel for me! My one very slight nit pick is that because of its consistency it will clog your razor up and require some extra vigorous rinsing to fully clean out the gel from your blade and razor, but through all of my testing this isn’t the only product that does it with the exception of pure foam. Highly recommend you give this a try!

Best shave cream I’ve tried. Iv spent lots of money and time searching for a shave cream cause of my heavy beard and sensitive skin. This is the one without a doubt. With little dab on your face I had the smoothest shave ever. Five star product

This cooling shave cream is good, but for some reason, there was another one lab series, cool, and shaved cream sold that came in a white tub. That one seems to work better.

The primary attribute of this shave cream is the cooling element - provided by the menthol, I assume. It is not overpowering, but it is noticeable during the shave. There is not much of a lingering scent post-shave so it will not interfere with cologne or other aftershave lotion. Note that this is a shave cream and not a shave soap. It is meant to be spread in a thin layer directly out of the container. I would guess that I used 3-4g per shave pass, so if I do a typical 3 pass wet shave, this would give about 20 shaves. For the price at the time of this review, I would not call that a good value. However, it does perform well and I had no issues with either a straight razor or DE blade. I would rate it as moderate slickness (5/10) and moderate cushion (4/10) depending on how much is applied and above average overall comfort (7/10) due to the cooling feeling.

This cream applies smoothly with just a hint of tingle on my face, almost like an aftershave. It has a very faint, pleasant smell.I have sensitive skin and use this with an electric razor in the shower, and experience very little, if any, razor burn or sensitivity after shaving.It does a great job letting the razor glide without irritation.
