The BF130 has 10 user memory slots - for 10 different people, making it perfect for a family household! Multi-User Feature: When you set up the scale, you enter in data - which includes: age, height, gender, and activity level so that the scale can measure and calculate precisely. Once you step on the scale, thereafter, the scale will recognize you and can give you all measurements when using the scale. There are 5 different activity levels in which you can choose from. The XL LCD display makes it extremely easy to read and interpret your results and has a digit size of 1.5". The design is slim and features a silver, and modern look. The narrow electrodes are made of brushed stainless steel and are located on both sides of the weighing platform, where you are to place your feet for the most accurate readings. How Does It Work? 1. Place your scale on a hard and level surface. 2. Place bare feet on the stainless-steel electrodes/conductors on the sides of the scale. 3. Within seconds, the conductors then send a safe and very low electrical current through the lower half of your body. I should have researched the companion phone app before purchasing this scale. Like most (all?) other smart scale apps, data is not stored locally, but on Internet-connected servers. This requires you to create an account with Beurer and agree to share your personal data. The scale works fine without the app, but I have to manually record the information and generate my own charts. I wish I could use the app to record and view my info, but not share it with others.

scale is good but lacks an internal light. I have to use a flashlight to see numbers!I have had a Beurer scale for about 10 years previously and it lasted very well!I also bought a motorized body brush which is invigorating! Has a detachable long handle for back and a soft brush head and an exfoliating brush also! Like having a spa at home!
