Have used a ton a different clays but this is one always tops them. The smell is great, there’s not if any shine. Little goes a long way. Super easy to wash off. Easily worth the money!

Layrite delivers on the promise of high hold, matte finish, and easily washes out. It also smells great, doesnt weigh your hair down, adds great texture, and is very easy to work with a comb or brush. You wont find yourself pulling hard on your hair when styling.The only negative some might see is that you'll need a little bit more product than many other brands. Layrite has a thick consistency and requires more time to warm and apply. It really isnt a big deal. It is actually how a hair clay should be, but if youre previously using an inferior product you'll probably be a little annoyed initially.In the end, you will be happy with Layrite. If you've been searching, this is it.

I love this stuff. I work it into my wet beard, then do some simple finger-twisting, and BAM! Counter-rotated coils that stay put.I guess it'll work for top-of-head hair, too, but I don't have any of that.5/5 stars, this is one of those products that I keep 2-deep in stock, because if I run out, well, nothing else will do the job.

This is an amazing styling clay. I’ve tried about a dozen products and this one came in 2nd place as far as my preferences go. My biggest gripe about this product is that it smells like play dough. The hold is good and lasts into the next day, I would describe this as a low shine rather than matte, it’s easy to apply and easy to rinse off your hands and wash out of your hair. While it does all these things well, the American Crew Matte Clay does everything better. Better hold, longevity, lower shine, washes out easily, and doesn’t smell as bad. It smells like actual clay but it’s very faint and not noticeable once applied in your hair.Nonetheless, this Layrite is still definitely worth trying!

It’s very seldom that I take the time to review a product, but in this case the product is so good that I felt compelled to.Over the years I’ve used many hair products (my wife thinks I’m nuts), and most of them have been useable but average.I ordered this product on a whim, and am I ever glad I did. I’m really particular about what products I use, and I wanted something with a matte finish, super strong hold, something that could be restyled throughout the day if needed, and something easy to use.Guys, I’m not throwing my money away anymore on expensive hair products that don’t do what I want. This stuff is awesome, it does it all. Since buying this I’ve tossed out most of my other products, and many of them were much more expensive than this.I’m not sure if anyone reads these reviews, but if you do, give it a try. I started with the smallest jar, and I’m not even halfway through and am buying the larger one.Just blow dry your hair, put about a dime size blob and rub it through your hands to warm it up. Apply it and style and you’re good to go. I don’t even have to use any spray anymore - the hold is that good.Anyway, hope someone found this helpful.

I have very fine hair that I use to cut short to control. I started using the lay rite cement clay and now I can let my hair grow longer and be able to get more control over my hair. The product seemed expensive, but a very little bit goes a long way.

Really good hold and quality.
Tired many always comes back to this.
Its is a bit sticky on fingers if you touch your hair all day! A bit shiny! may be heavier than Forte, or Moroccan oil texture clay! and needs shampoo to completely wash off.But.. all day hold, can restyle throughout the day, better wind resistance.Its worth a try, especially if you have medium to long hair, where other hyped brands fails to impress.
Affordable and smells incredible
The smell of this clay is amazing. Also lasts a long time so that lovely smell just lingers throughout the day.My only wish is that it has a bit more hold to it and less shine. All in all, great hair clay product.
