Plastic is strong.- Filter replacement indicatorCons:- Pay attention when attaching the lid the first time, you may think it’s fully locked in, but if not, the filter and contents can spill out. We love this design of pour through the filter but it is a discontinued model. It was still available through another supplier but it took several weeks before it arrived.

First pitcher arrive with lid spring in the bottom of the pitcher. I ordered a replacement and sent back the original. The second pitcher arrived and the lid broke after two days of use.

This pitcher arrived damaged, due to very poor packaging. My second pitcher (from a source not Bolo) arrived in usable condition. The amount of water this pitcher holds is a nice capacity, we only refill it once a day. The pour rate is slow, as the water flows through the filter as you pour. However, the entire pitcher system does a very good job of making our well water taste good. overall, I would recommend this pitcher.

Yes, my lid broke before I even before I got a chance to use it the first time, straight out of the package. I have replaced 2 filters and now the 3rd one will not release. The water taste real good and my plants are looking the healthiest since they don't get the chlorine as much. However, I am ready to put the next filter in for a filter change and the filter will not eject. There is no way I can get the old filter out. The 1st 2 came out real easy. Not sure about this one. I'm stuck with it. I am going to call Brita and see if they can just send me a lid. If they can't, I will buy another one, but not this model. Poor lid design.

Nice size and shape but it filters the water as you pour instead of filling a reservoir that filters the water as it drips into the pitcher. As a consequence the water dribbles out into my glass while I wait impatiently for a drink. I’m trashing this on and replacing it with the other type.
