Because I had a late meal of simple carbs, my 1-hour post meal reading shot up to 186 and the morning reading (on an empty stomach but hydrated twice with water over 2 hours) was 112. A previous 1-hour post meal reading of 124 for 1.5 cups of cooked lentils, full avocado and a single Naan.In contrast, my mother who has type-II diabetes has a morning reading (on an empty stomach) of 186. She showed a 1-hour post meal reading of 274 for a slice of bread and jam, and 476 for half a portion of rice porridge and eggs, and 194 for a single egg and a gulp of coffee (we were rushing to get my mother ready for church).So I believe the Oh’Care Lite Blood Sugar Testing Monitor is accurate and reliable for my purposes, bearing in mind my lay and experiential perspective.

I'm not diabetic but at 77 I like to monitor my blood glucose now and then as I have a normal range of 98-103. I have an Oh Care system and a competitor's monitor. I find the Oh Care system to be very accurate and reproducible as well as the easier of the two to.use. I base my accuracy statement on the fact that Oh Care reads exactly the same as my LabCore results when done just prior to having blood drawn each time. The competitor system reads about 15 points higher every time. I believe the Oh Care.

I use the test strips with the glucose meter of the same name. The meter is accurate and very easy to use. It makes the pricking of a finger less of a chore and more of an understandable need. There are many meters one can purchase but this meter and strips are very reasonably priced and they function just as well or better than any of the other meters. I highly recommend these strips as well as the meter and lancets.

Everything works just fine, but when I bought a refill of test strips, a new bit of information was in a follow-up email from the company.I did two tests at a time once in a while to see if the results were statistically different. And no, the results were similar. I felt the test results were +- 5%. The company said (in the email) the test results are +- 15%. Basically, they inferred not to trust the home kit and (still) get blood plasma results from a medical provider. Good idea, but so many people are being shy about doing any in-person medical procedures. Your lab may be different.

THESE STRIPS ARE WORKING GREAT FOR MY HUSBAND WHO CHECKS HIS BLOOD SUGAR EVERY MORNING. THEY TEST SLIGHTLY LOWER THAN AT HIS CHECKUP BUT NOT SO MUCH TO MAKE ANY REAL DIFFERENCE. AND IF YOU READ THE CONTAINER IT SHOWS YOU A SCALE THAT HELPS KEEP YOU ON TRACK. I RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!

Very affordable...arrives ontime-everytime...accurate & easy to use...expiration dates are good. I would highly recommend to anyone. We use these in addition to what insurance allows (we have 2 diabetics in our family & they go thru lots of strips (way more than ins will pay for)
