I bought this numerical key pad for doing my taxes because I hate using the number keys in a straight row on my MacBook Pro. It was really easy to pair it to my MacBook Pro. The angle of the face was perfect. The size of the keys are perfect. Didn’t have any missed typed numbers or missing numbers on my tax forms. And being Bluetooth, you can put it wherever it’s comfortable for you with no wire to get in your way.

Totally does the job. Works as designed, as described. Sits attractively right beside my laptop keyboard. Very happy. Would be 5 star if the keys were backlit, but that is def not a show stopper. Recommend.

Initially thought it was DOA because it wouldn't turn on. Tried a different battery than the one supplied but still no joy. Tried one more trick - cycled the on-off button very firmly several times back and forth, and voila! It came to life. So if yours doesn't respond right away, work that one-off button a bit!Once paired to my MacBook Pro 14" 2021 M-1 Max, it worked fine. I did some data entry into an Excel spreadsheet and it worked perfectly. Haven't tried speed entry but I am very used to 10 key calculators in office work, so I wasn't particularly slow. It caught every keypress.This unit is plastic, not aluminum like the MBP, but it is the right color (Space Grey) and matches the laptop well. I would certainly like an aluminum unit with backlit keys, but am happy with this inexpensive alternative because it does the job I need done - entering numbers in spreadsheets. We'll see about battery life and durability and I'll amend the review if anything glaring comes up. For now, it's a good buy at a very reasonable price and it works.UPDATE As of August 6 it is still going strong (a month or so on the original battery). I do remember to turn it off when not in use, so that does extend battery life. I don't trust the auto-off on any device.If you use it with a MacPro or iPad, get the app "pCalc". This little number pad enters directly into the calculator app, and using RPN logic it runs as fast as you can type. Revising the rating from 4 to 5 stars.

Was a little disappointed with this number pad. Has a cheap feel to it. The plastic and the key press action. Not real responsive when trying Bluetooth connect. And unlike other devices I use (keyboard, mouse, etc); every time it’s been turned off, I have to go back into settings to manually reconnect it. Doesn’t automatically re-Bluetooth.The instructions that are printed on the box for how to put it into Bluetooth mode were not correct. The instructions that were in the box, were correct.I’d say it’s on par with others that are being sold for $20 or less. (I paid a bit more then that).Had expected a little more quality from this one though. It was marked as on sale for ($26, I think), and as having been marked down from $39. So I believed I was actually getting a good value on a higher quality. But, no. It really seems to be on par with all the other $20 and down varieties.This brand does have another one that looks like it probably is a higher quality than this one. In the same range that I paid for this. But it doesn’t have the arrow keys. And also doesn’t use a standard battery. So this one wins on that. (I prefer something that isn’t going to need to be recharged at all the wrong moments).Once connected - it does stay connected until turning it off. And it works. Wasn’t very impressed, but it will get me through the semester.I think this might be the first time I ever left a less than 5 star review on Bolo.

Good but cheap item
It does the job well and have not struggled with connectivity at all. Dont listen to the bad reviews, they simply havent read the instructions.The only bad thing about the keypad is that the battery needs replacing. Built in li ion battery would have been better but this does afford you longevity in the item its self as the batteries can be replaced. It is also cheaply built. It is plastic and not metal.
