This is good maple syrup. However, it is neither darker nor stronger than regular Grade A syrup. Hence, it is NOT former Grade B syrup. Compared them side by side, and appearance, consistency and taste were exactly the same. Label on bottle accurately says nothing about dark or strong (former Grade B). The false advertising is in the text on website describing product.

I bought this syrup as a replacement to the brand I normally order directly from Vermont. I'm very glad that I did because I now like this one better. The flavor of this is much more complex, with robust maple and a nice smoky quality. This actually reminds me of a bourbon barrel aged syrup.
