We bought the matching stereo, center, and surround bookshelf speakers about 3 years ago. Was originally running a 12” JBL in a fairly large cabinet. We moved and the large 12” cab didn’t really fit the layout of our new home. Based on what I paid for the 12” sub in the larger cabinet, I was expecting a drop in performance moving to this smaller sub. But, we actually prefer the sound of this Jamo over the larger JBL. I’m a musician, but do not consider myself an audiofile, so I would say I have an ear, but not too discriminate of an ear, if you know what I mean. Used mainly for listening to music. Matches the older white set perfectly. I know bass is tricky, but this unit “sounds” more powerful than the 12” JBL in our living room. Punchy and pleasant.

I'd been looking at other subs but size constraints led me to the s810 and I am glad they did. It tucks away behind a chair nicely and the bass is enough to rattle my walls yet I can't tell where the bass is coming from. Easy to setup, nice looking, and a great value.

Great value sub with superb placement flexibility due to slim profile.Pros:Great placement flexibility as the unit is quite slim and can fit in tight spaces.Looks great minimalist and modernSound quality is decent.Frequency response starts to gently rolloff at 65Hz and then drops below 40Hz.Seems adequate for smaller rooms 200sqft or less listening at moderate volume.Cons:To allow all possible placement scenarios the controls are on the bottom of the unit.In my case, I laid it on one side and had the controls face the backwall.Has some type of auto sound compression which I truly dislike.With a good signal gain input, anything pass 2/3rd volume knob and the sound starts to get noticeably compressed leaving you with a flat muddy mushy sound. Lower the volume and raise the LPF pass 100Hz and the sub starts to come alive with punchy bass as you'd expect. I wish there was a switch to turn off the auto compression.

Exceeded my expectations for a lower cost sub. Way better then my old sub. Looks great sideways in the family room as the other speakers are all in the wall. It does not stand out, the white blends right in.

Very good subwoofer for the money. The design is such that it doesn't take up much space, and looks nice too. My only gripe about it is the bottom mounted amp controls. When you're trying to place the sub in the proper place and adjust volume and crossover, it is kind of a hassle to have to keep tipping the sub over to adjust.

Sold my Polk 10" sub for this option because the Jamo white series was more tasteful as far as asthetics. I was amazed by the build quality and sound from the subwoofer. I do not even have to turn it up 1/4 of the way. Amazing low-end and the sound adjustment options on the sub. I have this tucked away next to my couch and not against a wall and it fills my entire living room and kitchen with full low-end sound. I matched this subwoofer with Jamo's S805 speakers. I highly recommend this subwoofer.

I just don't agree with the placement of controls on the bottom of this sub. Input and power sure, but not the gain or frequency adjust....even if you don't plan on adjusting that much. You gotta lift up the sub and flip it over to adjust levels and such. As long as your receiver/pre has ample controls, it should be ok.Sounds fine though. You'll get your boom with this ported sub for sure. Prob not the tightest or cleanest sounding sub but it's more than fine for the masses....way more than fine.

I was initially happy with this purchase. The box looks pretty good and the bass response, while not audiophile quality, was still pretty darn good. I then left town for about a month only to find this sub not working when I returned. Nothing was done to it. There were no power outages or surges that we are aware of... This thing just stopped powering on. I have plugged another sub in where this was and it worked fine, so this sub is the problem. I used this for a couple of weeks and then this happened. It has a warranty, but as far as I can tell, I'm now on the hook to pay for shipping and handling to return the thing, which makes this a bad purchase for me. Once I add those costs into the purchase price; I would have been better off spending the extra money on the front end and purchasing a higher quality product from someone else. I don't recommend.

Color equivocado

El subwoofer es de excelente calidad, muy elegante y bonito, y con un increíble rendimiento a pesar de su tamaño.Mi sala no es muy grande así que no necesito más poder… con este sub las ventanas de mi casa retumban y los bajos se sienten hasta en los huesos.Mi problema más grande con esta compra es que el vendedor LifeGeek, envío el color equivocado. Yo pedí el color blanco y me llegó uno color nuez como se ve en la foto.Haré otra reseña correspondiente al vendedor.
