It feels a bit heavy at first but in operation it’s really nice. Especially when I turn it off it stops instantly, were the other one it would continue to run 10 to 15 seconds which was very annoying. I got the complete kit, which is the unit , battery, charger, and bag.I’m doing a lot of work with epoxy, resin, and table tops and making some custom chess boards. And this sander works great with a fine grit sandpapers as well as the course ones.I’m sure if you get the Sander, you would be very happy with it

This little thing is great. Being cordless makes all the difference in the world. Easy to tote around and no need for extension cords! I used this the day I got it and the battery lasted two hours + Obviously fully charged out of the box. The dust collection works good. It is a bit noisier than the plug in one I have but I'm not real concerned about it. Like all DeWalt products, it's well built. The grip is a good addition.

As usual DeWalt got it right with this tool.Pros:1) Cordless so maximum portability and locations it can be used2) Decent weight and balance3) Great power and easy to use controls4) Solid run time with the 20V Lithium Ion batteries5) A dust canister that works, even is spring 'loaded' so you can squeeze it by obstaclesI actually believe the weight of the battery dampens or counters the vibration reducing hand fatigue.Cons:The battery and dust canister stick out a bit more than corded models so it cannot get it tight corners as easily - but that is a small con.As you may have concluded I am thoroughly impressed with the DeWalt 20V Cordless Sander!

Nice little sander. I did a lot of research before landing on this one. I kept coming back to this one because of the portability. I was reluctant to buy it because I figured with the dust collection and a battery, that it would be super limiting, but that hasn't been an issue yet. What is amazing, is how quickly it comes to full rest after shutting it off. I mean super quick. You will be amazed as well.
Warning 110v US-spec battery charger
WARNING - this comes with a US standard 110v battery charging unit with a US plug - not suitable for use with UK 240v.‘Carry case’ small - just big enough for the sander and battery - not very robust, nylon construction. Not very good value for money.
Powerful, well-designed sander with thoughtful features
This DEWALT orbital sander impressed me right away. The grip feels secure and comfortable, and the variable speed settings are genuinely useful for different projects. I especially love how quickly the pad stops spinning once you power it off — no waiting around or worrying about it continuing to spin.The included battery and charger were a big plus, and the vacuum dust collection system makes a huge difference. It doesn’t eliminate all dust, but it keeps things far cleaner than I expected, and the bag is easy to attach and empty.Performance-wise, it has plenty of power and sands smoothly without bogging down. The compact design also lets you get close to edges for more precise work.Overall, a solid tool that delivers exactly what I needed — comfortable to use, effective at dust control, and packed with features that make a noticeable difference in day-to-day projects.
