5.0 out of 5 stars A Real Razor
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } This Wilkinson Sword razor gives me the best shave I can remember since the 1970's when I used a similar type. I have put up with disposable razors uncomfortably pulling and cutting below the pore openings, which causes sores when the sharp beard ends grow back out and dig in. This day is May 19, I received and started using the razor April 23 and have used the same side of the first blade with the sword marking since May 19 and it still shaves with far less discomfort than those plastic things that pull and tug from the start. You need to be a little careful with it, it can make nicks if careless. I hold the handle near the top ad let it's own weight deliver the best pressure, which is not much. The finished shave is surprisingly smooth. I will stick with Wilkinson blades.I can say yes I like it. I'll never go back to plastic unless I have to.
5.0 out of 5 stars Affordable, Decent Quality, Beginner Friendly
Price for this butterfly de razor is reasonable. Very beginner friendly, easy to replace blades. Provides a good mild shave. Doing the basic 3 pass shave gets you nice and smooth. Blade recommendations I would go with what everyone else says either Astras(better price) or Feather(said to be sharper but I found them about the same). I’ve seen bad reviews saying that the handle or the blades rust after leaving the blade in for a while. I might be odd but I try to take care of things I buy regardless of the price I pay for them. After I finish my shave I rinse the razor and wipe off the blade and razor with my shave towel. If you aren’t a slob who leaves your razor looking like a barbershop floor then this will last you a good while. So long as you aren’t throwing it at walls.. If you are looking at starting de razor shaving this is my first pick. Once you feel confident and wish to give a more aggressive shave a try there are many choices on here. If you are hellbent on getting a 3 piece de razor, Muhle has a Neo that is very affordable at $30. Don’t forget the pre shave ritual, that way you have an awesome shave every time. Warm towel(or just warm water to soften the beard), your shaving lather makes a huge difference, remember if your blade starts to tug after you have softened up the hair it is time to change the blade. Best thing about de razors is how cheap the blades are. If you go for astras you can switch out the blade every shave for about 7 cents(usually last me 2-3 shaves, depends on hair thickness). Get the angle down, go slow, you will not regret it. Ditch the cartridge razor, the cuts are not worth it, after switching I haven’t had any nicks. Hope you give this one a try.

Excelente producto , muy buen para afeitarse.
4.0 out of 5 stars You have to wrap handle with a rubber band
Very good safety razor but the handle is slippery . You have to wrap a rubber band on the handle and you get a great hold and better control of the safety razor!
5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT razor. You Get A Really Close Shave
It's a great traditional tried-and-tested double edge razor, and the Wilkinson Sword blade is incomparable. I usually shave with a straight razor, and I like that the best, it gives the closest, most uniform shave, and it costs nothing except the razor, strop, and a couple of stones for honing. But it take time to learn the skill of honing the blade, and sometimes the edge needs a touch up and you are in a hurry. Plus, you can't shave with a straight razor in the shower (you must have the mirror). So, for convenience this razor is great. The blades last a long time as they are stainless steel, and they are much CHEAPER than the rip-off cartridge razors with 3, 4, and now 5 blades--and there is NO PLASTIC to dispose of. NONE. You can even get double edge blades in WAX PAPER packaging.Having said all that, you can shave without hurting yourself immediately. With a little practice (like 2 or 3 shaves) you can get nearly as close a shave as you can with a straight razor. One thing I like about the straight razor is that the next day, as your beard starts to come back, the stubble feels really good, not harsh like with an electric or one of these plastic monstrosities. Well, this Wilkinson Sword blade does very close to the same thing. Even with a day's growth, my face still feels, well, nice and civilized. So for $16.00, you can try it out, and you won't be disappointed. Plus, unless you want to grow a beard, you have to shave every day. Trying out different methods is fun. This one is particularly fun. Get some good shave cream. Don't ever use that chemical crap they sell at the supermarket. Get the best, Proraso, from Italy, and get yourself a decent shaving brush, I recommend Omega professional. It's boar bristle, but actually, that is the best. Badger is expensive, overrated, and generally if you get Badger online, it is going to be fake, colored Boar. Just get the boar. I works better. Any kind of small bowl will work for the lather, but with the Proraso and the omega, you can basically wet your face, rinse the brush in hot water, squirt the Proraso into the brush and make the lather on your face. Proraso is the best, it smells good, softens and protects, and you can imagine you are in an Italian barbershop getting a barber shave and the go get some realy neapolitan pizza with that gorgeous dark haired girl who is flirting with you through the barbershop window. Have fun. You shave every single day. Make it an adventure.
3.0 out of 5 stars Least favorite razor
Can’t truly describe the shave. It’s not a mild shave but it’s not close like an aggressive razor. It’s just kind of blah. I keep thinking that changing blades will help but this seems to be a razor made for cheaper blades. With feather and 7 o’clock blades it nicks me a bit but with Wilkinson sword blades it does better but it’s not a close shave. I guess it is designed for the blades it’s shipped with.

(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } Excelente aparelho. Passo 2 vezes a lamina e a pele fica bem lisa.

Wonderful shave
This razor replaces a 25 year old Gillette double edge razor that I have! The Gillette razor is only about 27g. This one is a relatively hefty 87g. And it shaves wonderfully. The weight helps painlessly glide through a week old beard with very light pressure. The shave is very gentle; even a tad gentler than the lightweight Gillette one I have been using all these years. It is possible to shave over pimples without cutting ourselves.I haven't tried the razor blades (there were 5 of them) that the razor had come with, so I don't have any opinion about them.
Save the earth and your wallet
I've been using this razor since 2021, and it's saved me hundreds of dollars on lady shaving razors. Buy this and a pack of razor blades, and you'll be off to the races.Don't forget to keep a small jar to store your dull blades; once it's full, just drop it into a sharps container at the pharmacy for recycling!
Awesome razor
This is a great razor. It's a mild razor which in my opinion is great for sensitive skin. This razor is weighted well and is far better than most more expensive ones.Buy it you can't go wrong....
