Okay, so I don't review hardly anything, despite buying a lot on Bolo. I have a 10 month beard, I'm older (so it's wiry and grey) and most products that aren't heavy waxes can't keep the "fly-away" hairs from developing over the day. This looked like a balm rather than wax when I opened it up, and I almost didn't use it because balm never controls the wiry-ness of my beard. I tried it after about 4 days of still using another product (a wax) and I was amazed it worked better than the waxes I've used. The nice part is, it dries, but holds, while the waxes (even when they hold) feel greasy. This does not feel greasy, and holds like a wax, actually better than any wax I've used, but feels dry and not gross. I can't explain it, and I have no stake in the company (no free sample or anything), but if you have a wiry beard, and want the stray hairs contained, give this a try. I just hope they don't "reformulate" like a couple of other beard products have done in the past.

This product is just amazing! My beard was all unruly and messy until I started using this beard wax. It is very easy to apply, you don't have to fight the wax to remove it from the container, just slide your finger through it and rub it between your fingers gently before you apply. The hold is amazing. You can play with the quantity to get to your sweet spot. The beard stays in place once the wax is applied and gives you a groomed look.The 'stache stick is amazing! My mustaches stay in place throughout the day and I don't have to worry about little hair peeking from sides. You can also use the wax from the container and get the same hold and feel on your 'stache.The wax has a nice aroma to it and it just smells amazing!Overall, it is very easy to apply and keeps the well groomed look throughout the day.

I will give the “beard wax/balm,” a five star. Great hold! Scent, I do not care for it, my wife likes it. The mustache wax stick does not give hold whatsoever and this is what I needed, say a zero! The beard balm will not hold my mustache, my beard, great! Still looking for an all day hold for mustache.

Bought this for the proclaimed hold. I feel like the beard wax is a great niche product as it is a little thicker than other balms I've used. The mustache wax I wish had a little stronger hold.The smell I'm still getting used to. Can't decide if I like it or not. Don't know if it smells like "distinguished gentleman" or "old person scent", LOL!That said I would still buy again just for handling properties.

The beardwax is great easily to apply wax that doesn’t take any real effort to remove from the tin. It’s a nice dry wax that holds beardhair and mustache hair very well. I’ve tried the moustache stick a few time now and I don’t feel as though it has much drying effect. While it allows to create a little bit of shape, it mostly stays semi greasy throughout the day and doesn’t keep much form. I have been getting a badass curl on my handlebars with the beard wax! I’m not a huge fan of the cosmetic waxy smell of the wax. However my nose gets used to the smell after having it under my nose for a bit.my first two shots are with nothing in my beard- I tried to show some good angles of my jaw line since the wax really helps to control my fussy silver spots. Hope this helps!

I have been using this beard wax for over a year and it has been good. I have liked the consistency and the fact that it does not have a strong smell. But the most recent order I placed arrived and has a VERY strong perfumy smell. Not only can I smell it but I find it makes my eyes irritated. The consistency of the was is also softer than the multiple previous orders.Question to seller… do you think I just got a bad batch or did the formula change recently? If it changed intentionally then it is what it is and I simply know it is not for me. But if you think I just got a bad batch, should I return it for a replacement?

I had high hopes for this beard wax and mustache stick after reading some of the reviews. It definitely illustrates how varied different men's sensibilities are in regards to scent (I'll discuss this more). I've got some sympathy for Prophet and Tools because the men's grooming market is a large and nuanced one so i know its hard to check all of the boxes for all of the men. But dang, is it too much to ask to have a nice beard wax that is unscented??First off, let me preface by saying that I've got a thick, coarse and wiry beard so strong hold to me might mean something different than it does to you. The hold level to me was more of a medium to medium strong. Just not enough for my beard. My favorite in the hold category is actually a hair product from Baxter of California (https://www.Bolo.com/dp/B000MIKEZQ/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_dp_U_x_-GU-CbPQH7WXG). When I say strong, this is my reference point.In regards to scent... this is how I would describe the scent: When I was in middle school and you're a boy first trying to figure out how to "smell like a man", we usually end up at the cheap cologne section at the drug store. Stuff like Brut, Old Spice, English Leather, etc. Well this mustache and beard wax smells like the brand Stetson. If you were around in the 80s, you know what I'm talking about. And the scent is STRONG. I mean this stuff will remind you that you're wearing it ALL. DAY. LONG. Now if you're wearing this stuff on your beard and mustache, you can see where it might get problematic to have such a strong scent so near your nose. It literally made me sick to my stomach. To quote Ron Burgundy talking about Sex Panther, "It stings the nostrils".So in summary, if you're wearing cheap scents like Axe Body Spray and other cheap colognes all day long, this stuff may not bother you, but if your nose has finer sensibilities, you may want to think twice before purchasing this stuff.p.s. one kudo for the mustache stick, great functionality in application, too bad I can't use it.

If you're looking for the strongest bears/moustache wax out there, this is it. You hardly need to use any to tame all the frizz and make your beard stay in place. Very good product.
Great Beard Wax
This is the 3rd wax I've tried and it's my favourite so far. It's very easy to use and holds throughout the day. The scent is pleasant and not overpowering. The cost is about average compared to the other products I've tried. However, this may very well be a case of you get what you pay for.

If you're looking for a strong hold wax, to maintain some epic stache curls, this isn't for you.Long ago, I did venture into the world of moustache curling, but only in the confines of my bathroom walls! Outside however, I much prefer to keep a fairly tame man-maine, but found most waxes to be far to drying, yet wanted to maintain shape and volume. After trying a range of butters and balms, I stumbled on this one, which also comes with an accompanying wax stick.Firstly, it is by far the best smelling wax I’ve tried and the fragrance is long lasting. When rubbed into the palms, it gets pretty sticky almost immediately, When gently applied over the outter layers to shape, it goes on well, albeit with occasional visible blob. Being white, you can immediately identify where these are and with a little rub, they’re soon gone.Once dry, the wax leaves the beard still quote soft to the touch, but still styled which is exactly what I was after. Having a naturally curly beard, this is suitable to maintain straight hairs following a blow dry. Most comments after a beard-fondling are now how soft it is, where most think that a beard would feel wirey.The only thing that dissuades me about this is the price. Whilst I cannot argue that I like it, it is quite pricey, but a tub lasted me about 4 months of daily use.
